Dora Pearl Reed with Blooming Bridges Foundation is incredibly thankful, deeply honored, & SO excited to announce that The Blooming Bridges Foundation is putting down roots in their first location! 💐

Our new offices will officially open in October 2026!

We believe big milestones deserve to be celebrated with the community that helped make them possible, & we’re thrilled to announce our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on October 19th, 2026 at 11 am, in partnership with the Webb City Area Chamber of Commerce, & Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce ✂️🎀✂️

We are truly grateful for the support, encouragement, partnerships, & community connections that have helped The Blooming Bridges Foundation grow to where we are today. This next chapter is more than opening a door—it’s about creating a place where people can walk through that door feeling supported, empowered, connected, & hopeful.

So, what will we be assisting with?

At The Blooming Bridges Foundation, we help individuals & families navigate those “how do I even begin?” moments by connecting them with resources, support network, guidance, community services, & opportunities that can help them move forward.

Whether someone needs help finding the right resources, navigating services, building connections, or simply figuring out their next step, The Blooming Bridges Foundation is here to help bridge the gaps & make the journey a little less overwhelming.

💛 Specialized training for Law Enforcement & First Responders to better recognize & respond to children & individuals with sensory, developmental, & behavioral differences, creating safer, more compassionate interactions.

💛 Sensory support assistance by helping caregivers access weighted blankets, weighted stuffed animals, weighted vests, noise-reducing headphones, fidget tools, & other sensory resources that help children feel safe, calm, regulated, & empowered to thrive.

🏆 Winning Best of the Four States would do more than honor our organization—it would increase awareness of our mission, help us reach more families in need, strengthen community partnerships, attract additional supporters, & allow us to expand these vital services to children & caregivers who are still waiting for help.

Kaylann Loraine, president and executive director of Ecosavvy Insights, stopped by to speak with Howie about the public advocacy they are involved with.

Operation Birthday Cake: With SNAP benefits being reduced, many families across Southwest Missouri faced even greater challenges meeting daily food needs, making special items like birthday cakes harder to afford. Operation Birthday Cake was created to make sure that no child’s special day goes uncelebrated simply because their family may be struggling. Through this initiative, they partner with local bakers like Muffin Tops & Cake Pops, The Frosted Fae, and Zave’s Cakes to provide one birthday cake each week to a child in need in Jasper or Newton Counties. Their goal is to bake joy into every celebration while highlighting the importance of local sustainability and community care.

GALENA, Kan. Air Quality & Landfill: They are working to get survey responses for Galena, Kansas air quality. The goal is to collect the data from locals to get a better picture of how Galena residents are being affected by the odors and air quality.
