May 22nd marks 15 years since the tornado that changed Joplin forever.

To honor the resilience of our community, we are proud to premiere a 3-part documentary series sharing real stories from those who lived through May 22, 2011.

Created locally by AXR Productions, directed by Xavier Ruiz & produced by Alexandria Burrows with the goal of preserving the stories of our community so they are never forgotten.

We invite everyone to watch, remember, and share these stories with others.

We have had so many people reach out wanting to share their stories for the Superstorm Survivors documentary, and I want everyone to know that your stories matter deeply to us.

Our plan is still to interview everyone we can. Right now, we are releasing these first 3 episodes as a test run to see how they are received.

AXR PRODUCTIONS has put an incredible amount of time, effort, and heart into editing these episodes, and both of us are doing this completely free because we truly believe these stories deserve to be heard.

Once these episodes are released, we will have to see how they do, and AXR PRODUCTIONS will ultimately make the decision on whether continuing this project long-term is something they are able to do.

No matter what happens, I promise these stories will continue to be shared somehow. It just may look different if we are unable to continue with the same level of production and editing that AXR PRODUCTIONS has been able to provide.
