Dr. C.J. Huff, superintendent of Joplin Schools, was recently named one of four national finalists for the American Association of School Administrators' Superintendent of the Year.

If you're in town Monday, March 4 from 3:30 to 5:30pm, you're invited to swing by the Joplin Schools Administration Building (3901 E. 32nd St.) for a reception in his honor.

There was a horrible fire in downtown Joplin tonight, yet no one was hurt. See a slideshow ...

Joplin firefighters were attacking a blaze early Tuesday night on the southwest corner of 16th and Main streets with multiple streams of water and sending up a tornado-like plume of black smoke that spectators said could be seen from around the city.

JHS Cheerleaders win first place in the advanced cheer division!

JHS Cheerleaders competing today in Branson and take 1st place in the advanced varsity cheer division. In their overall session, they took 15th place out of 27 competitive teams. JHS was the only squad to compete against all the competitive squads. Congratulations girls!
