We are thrilled to share that K9 Rico received a CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH after his visit to Cato Pet Hospital! 🎉🐕‍🦺

After years of faithfully serving and protecting his community, Rico deserves the very best in his retirement — and this is exactly why the K9 Cash Money Foundation exists. ❤️

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Foundation is honored to cover the medical care K9 Rico needs so that his handler, Dustin Smith, can focus on what matters most: enjoying retirement with his loyal partner by his side.

🐾 BIG NEWS FROM THE K9 CASH MONEY FOUNDATION! 🐾
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that The K9 Cash Money Foundation has officially “adopted” not one, but TWO retired K9 heroes! 💙🐾
It is an incredible honor for our foundation to help provide the medical care these deserving K9s need throughout their retirement. After years of faithfully serving and protecting their communities, it’s our turn to serve them.
Please help us welcome K9 Rico & K9 Karma to the Cash Money family! 💙
🐕 K9 Rico is an almost 12-year-old Belgian Malinois who proudly served 7 years with the Jonesboro Police Department in Arkansas alongside his handler, Dustin Smith. Rico retired from service in 2022 after a dedicated career protecting his community.
🐕 K9 Karma is an 8-year-old Belgian Malinois who served 6 years with the Racine Police Department in Wisconsin alongside her handler, David Arvai. Karma retired from service this year and is beginning her well-earned retirement.
We are humbled to have the opportunity to help care for both of these incredible K9s in the years ahead.
This is exactly why The K9 Cash Money Foundation exists. These dogs give everything they have during their years of service, but their needs don’t end when the badge comes off. Retirement shouldn’t mean their handlers have to face the cost of their medical care alone.

Good advice from our vet!
Watch out for those precious paws 🐾 this summer !!!

A small summer test that could save your dog's paws>>>

A 75-degree day at a 7 a.m. walk is comfortable. The same walk at 11 a.m. on hot pavement is dangerous — even on days that don't feel that hot to you.

The seven-second test:
Press the back of your hand against the sidewalk. If you can't hold it there for seven seconds, it's too hot for your dog's paws.
