The Johnsonburg Community Trust would like to extend a huge thank-you to the Johnsonburg Chamber of Commerce for once again organizing the JAHS Alumni & Friends Reunion Dinner at the Johnsonburg Fire Hall.

Last year was the Chamber's first year taking the reins of this longtime tradition, and they did an outstanding job bringing alumni, friends, and the community together. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to keeping this special event thriving.

This year promises to be even better! Registration for the first time ever, alumni can register online by scanning the QR code below. Paper registration forms are also available by request at [email protected] or at the Johnsonburg Borough Office.

Tuesday Crew Workday & Lunch

A huge thank-you to Racquel Brechtel for providing lunch for the Tuesday Crew this week! Racquel treated the crew to delicious shredded beef sandwiches, cottage potatoes, broccoli slaw, and lemon cookies topped with icing.

Racquel also holds a special distinction, she was the first person to provide lunch through our new Meal Train system. The Meal Train has already made organizing lunches so much easier and is a tremendous relief for our volunteers and organizers. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has signed up to help keep the crew fueled and working.

This week was also an exciting one as members of the Tuesday Crew received their new Crew t-shirts, helping showcase the pride and teamwork that have become hallmarks of this dedicated volunteer group. We will have the reveal next week or catch them in tomorrow's Ridgway Record/Johnsonburg Journal!

Work continued in Unit 6, the future home of Clarion River Outdoors LLC , where the newly installed Red Oak hardwood flooring received its finish and continues to transform the space.

Outside, volunteers continued restoring and rewiring the antique barn lights that will once again illuminate the Armstrong Brick Block arcade.

Another major milestone was reached as a man lift was brought in to begin exterior restoration work on the iconic bay windows above the Heritage-Education & Welcome Center. The first bay window is now underway, with the remaining bay windows scheduled to follow as restoration efforts continue across the block.

Every Tuesday, volunteers come together to preserve local history, learn new skills, share a meal, and help transform the historic Armstrong Brick Block into a destination the entire community can be proud of.

Interested in helping? Providing a lunch through the Meal Train is a wonderful way to support the crew and be part of the revitalization effort. Stop by on a Tuesday morning and see the progress for yourself! ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‘Tuesday Crew Update: Another Big Step Forward at the Historic Armstrong Brick Block!

It was a long but incredibly productive day for the Tuesday Crew this week.๐Ÿงฑ๐Ÿชš๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ”จ

Volunteers spent the morning painting beneath the historic arcade and making tremendous progress on installing the ash hardwood flooring in Unit 6, the future home of Clarion River Outdoors. Piece by piece, this dedicated group continues transforming the 1890 Armstrong Brick Block into a destination that will serve the community for generations to come.

After hours of hard work, the crew gathered at the Heritage-Education & Welcome Center for a well-earned lunch. A huge thank-you goes out to Johnsonburg Mayor Tracy Crowe, who recently joined the Johnsonburg Community Trust Board of Directors, for providing delicious BBQ ham sandwiches, macaroni salad, and beautifully decorated sugar cookies topped with fresh berries.

After lunch, the Tuesday Crew headed right back to Unit 6 and continued installing the ash hardwood flooring throughout the future Clarion River Outdoors LLC retail space. The transformation has been remarkable, with the warmth of the new flooring complementing the exposed brick, restored architectural details, and historic character of the 1890 structure.
FYI, CRO ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ› was once the location of the Johnsonburg News Agency ๐Ÿ—ž๏ธ or Newsstand, as many lovingly referred to this long running business as. โค๏ธ

The Tuesday Crew is about much more than construction projects. It is about neighbors coming together, sharing skills, preserving local history, teaching trades, and building community one Tuesday at a time.

Thank you to every volunteer who continues to donate their time, talents, and energy to this remarkable effort. Every board laid, every wall painted, and every hour volunteered brings us one step closer to realizing the vision for the Armstrong Brick Block.

Interested in joining the Tuesday Crew? Just stop down Tuesday mornings at the historic Armstrong Brick Block. Whether you have construction experience, want to learn a new skill, or simply enjoy helping your community, there's a place for everyone.
