How do you paint a 40-foot bald eagle without it turning out lopsided?
LA artist Hannah Webb used a technique called a doodle grid to lay out her new mural on Johnson's Main Street, spraying a grid onto the wall, then overlaying a photo of it with a transparent design to find every line before a drop of color went down.

Okay, now that we’ve all had a minute to take it in… 👀🎨

Hannah Webb absolutely transformed this wall, and getting to watch it happen made it even better!

From the first sketch lines to the finished piece, people stopped by throughout the day to watch, ask questions, and cheer her on — which made the whole thing even more fun.

A huge thank you to Hannah for bringing this mural to Johnson and giving us something pretty incredible to look at every time we cruise through town. ❤️

And yes…we’re still impressed she finished it in one day. 😅

We’re ready for another parade! 🎉

Join the Johnson Chamber this Sunday as we head to Tecumseh for the Johnson County Fair Parade!

Want to come along? Walk the route with us or grab a seat on the float — there’s room for everyone to join the fun! We’ll gather around the courthouse square beginning at 4:30 PM to decorate and get parade-ready, with the parade kicking off at 5:30 PM.
