Nifty trick. If you need to weigh rambunctious kittens, put a little churro on the container you need them to sit still in while the scale does its thing. Game changer!

Hope for Unicoi! Let's do this. Brighter Tails needs a partner or two to tackle TNR here. Reach out if interested. We have volunteers signed up, but need an actual partner!

Yes, we're still here. Just trying to raise funds to afford TNR'ing all the kitties our county is overflowing with. In the meantime, we stepped up to foster yet another amazing litter of kittens from PreciousPaws. These 4 cuties have been so well taken care of, vet checked, all tests thumbs up including fecals. And so well socialized! We're smitten. If you are too, reach out to PreciousPaws, these babies are for adoption!

🚨 URGENT: EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE NEEDED 🚨
Today, we were called into a heartbreaking emergency where 6 dogs were killed and one dog survived. Cocoa was severely mauled by another dog and has sustained significant, deep wounds to her neck and upper body. She is currently at the vet undergoing emergency treatment and stabilization.

The road to recovery for Cocoa will be long and, unfortunately, very expensive. As a non-profit, these unexpected emergency cases put a massive strain on our medical fund, but we couldn't turn her away. She is a sweet heart. She is a fighter, and she deserves every chance to heal. In order to save her we have to raise the funds for her emergency care. If you would like to contribute to her funds you can donate in person at our shelter tomorrow from 10 am to 3 pm during our event or by one of our donation links with a note made for Emergency Care. I will include those links below. Thank you all for your continued support that allows us to care for the animals in need in our county.
