A Little Letter of Hope

A Little Letter of Hope A Little Letter of Hope was formed during the 2020 CoVid crisis to help with socializing and showing caring while social distancing. Those letters saved me.

Our Mission is to send cards, reference materials, and letters to anyone who needs a little support or a kind thought. So a lot of people love the idea of my organization but don't understand quite why I actually got into it. So I'd like to tell you the story of how Little Letter of Hope got started. It was a little over 3 years ago that I struggled with a drug addiction that ruined every prospect

of chance that I had built for myself in this world because I just couldn't let go of the selfish feelings that came along with addiction. One day I woke up and said to myself that I didnt want to be the monster I had become any longer so I reach out to my family and sought help in my hometown to get away from the environment I had created for myself and the people I had surrounded myself with just to not be alone. I spent 52 days in a place where I had no contact with the outside world aside from receiving mail which at the time was incredibly difficult because the PDC for that area had closed at the start of that year due to Funding so it made receiving letters take far longer then they ever had before. I'll tell you that during that experience those letters changed and saved my life. I had hundreds of people and letters come to me and when I left had dozens get forwarded to my home address. I have a hard time expressing myself via words so cards and written word are how I form my thoughts into what I mean to say to others. So I slowly began to realize that maybe this practice could help others and I slowly started writing letters to my friends and family all over the world and the reaction I got was outstanding. People truly appreciated that I had taken the time out of my day to truly sit down and write a heartfelt letter to encourage or thank them for their influence and understanding in my life. I've been sober now for three years and I've written over 400 hundred letters and packages in the last two years. This Organization is more then a hobby for me. Its a way for
me to return the love and understanding that has been shared with me in this life. It is a way for me to show that anyone and everyone who feels alone isnt because I am only a letter away, and my caring for other people is what drives this organization to truly be something along with others reaching out to show they care for others. I encourage you all to go out into this world and try to encourage and motivate others to grow and to truly change lives by helping others whether it be a LLoH or just a talk or kind gesture. You never truly know how much simply things you do for other people can change their life until one of those moments happens to you. Be the Hope for someone else that you needed when you had none, and if you have too much on your plate we'd be happy to help assist you in brightening someone else's day and giving them that Hope that they may need more then you know.

Looking to potentially move into writing people who are in nursing homes does anyone following us have any connections to any Nursing Homes or assisted living facilities. I know that most people in those facilities can not recieve guests currently or have to have a 12day quarantine before they're allowed entrance and id like to offer those people a little hope!
Thank You In Advance
