Did you know?? All dogs adopted through ARF are microchipped?

Microchips are important In case your pet escapes. While they don't replace an ID tag, they are a wonderful way of helping your dog make its way back home.

Below, we have statistics of dogs and cats reunification rates with a microchip vs without.

🐶Dogs: Microchipped dogs are returned to their owners at a rate of 52.2%, compared to only 21.9% for dogs without chips.

🐱Cats: Microchipped cats have a return rate of 38.5%, vastly outperforming the 1.8% return rate for unchipped cats.

🐾Reunification Rate: Overall, pets with microchips are approximately three times more likely to be returned home.

Come get your pet microchipped at our Red, White, and Rescued event this month! It is completely FREE and makes sure your pet stays safe if the unfortunate happens.

🐾 FOSTER HOMES SAVE LIVES 🐾

Did you know ARF covers veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, pet food/treats and medical treatment for our foster pets? What we need from you is a safe, loving place for them to stay while they wait for their forever family.

Every foster home:
❤️ Saves a life
❤️ Frees up space for another animal in need
❤️ Helps pets recover, relax, and show their true personalities
❤️ Gives us valuable information to help find the perfect adopter

You don't need a large home or years of experience. Whether you can foster for a few weeks, help a recovering pet, or provide a quiet place for a shy animal, you can make a huge difference.

Without foster homes, we simply can't help as many animals in our community.

Sometimes saving a life is as simple as opening your door and saying, "You can stay with me for a while."

🇺🇸🐾 RED, WHITE & RESCUE! 🐾🇺🇸

This June 27th, ARF, Last Chance, We Care, Fabucats, WAGS, along with the local Wayne Co Animal Management team are teaming up to help keep local pets safe with a FREE Microchipping Event! While there, Animal Control will also be handing out free pet food for families in need!

Why microchip your pet?

🐶🏃 Dogs slip out of collars.
🐱🚪 Cats sneak through open doors.
🌪️ Storms, fireworks, and accidents can cause even the most loyal pets to become lost.

A microchip is a permanent form of identification that greatly increases the chances of a lost pet being reunited with their family. Unlike collars and tags, a microchip can't fall off, break, or be removed. It takes only seconds to implant and can make all the difference if your pet ever goes missing.

Important:
✔️ Dogs must be on a secure leash.
✔️ Cats must be in a carrier.
✔️ Please help us keep everyone safe by ensuring pets are properly restrained when arriving and leaving the event.

Dogs can hear frequencies up to 65,000 Hz (humans tap out around 20,000 Hz) and have 18 muscles controlling their ears to pinpoint exactly where a sound is coming from.

So yes... your dog absolutely heard you say "bath," "crate," and "leave it" from three rooms away.

They just chose not to respond.

But somehow, the faint crinkle of a treat bag from the other side of the house? That's an emergency requiring immediate attention. 🐶👂🍖

Selective hearing isn't a bug—it's a feature.

🐾 Hi friends! It's us — Cash, Willow, Libby, Petunia, and Opal! 🐾

We had the BEST time at the Farmers Market this weekend! We got to meet so many wonderful people, collect lots of pets, show off our puppy charm, and soak up all the attention (which, if we're being honest, is one of our favorite hobbies).

One thing that made us extra happy was seeing families in need receive free pet food through ARF's Pet Food Bank. No pet should have to go hungry! And guess what? We still have plenty of pet food available for families who could use a helping paw. ❤️🐶

We're already counting down the days until we're out and about again meeting new friends. We can't wait for more treats, more walkies, more belly rubs, and more chances to find our forever families!

Until then, we'll keep practicing our puppy eyes. Trust us—we're getting very good at them. 👀🐾

We're out here at the Farmers Market!! We have had a wonderful sponsor, Juan, with Operation Humane (based out of Atlanta) to donate us some food to give out. We're only going to be out here for around 30 more minutes before we start packing up! Come out and meet these puppies and apply to adopt or volunteer!

BIG news from Libby, Willow, and their siblings… 🐾

They officially had their 6-month vet checkups and got the all-clear! Healthy, happy, and more than ready to find their forever homes. ❤️

These pups have grown into some seriously amazing dogs, and now all they’re missing is a family to spoil them rotten.

Want to meet them in person? Come see us this weekend at the Farmers Market from 10–2! You can meet the puppies, fall in love, and even submit an adoption application while you’re there.

Warning: puppy eyes will be used aggressively. We are not responsible for any sudden “we’re just looking” turning into “guess we have a dog now.” 😂🐶

Petunia, along with all the other ARF puppies are available for adoption and will be at the Farmers Market in Jesup, Ga this weekend! Come and meet them, see if y'all click and maybe... Just maybe apply to adopt one!
