Less than a week from the election! Sharing this for anyone looking to get in early.

If you are still wanting a yard sign we have some! We love all the support we are getting and seeing the signs around our community!

This will not increase our taxes. We are at the state minimum that we are required to pay. Please vote to insure public utilities pays at the higher millage.

We wanted to share this video below to help better understand our levy renewal that is on the ballot. Our Ashland County Auditor website underwent a much needed update. It is user friendly and has lots of information regarding your property.

A Hillsdale resident has given us permission to use their property parcel information for the video. As you can see the auditors office added a levy section to each property parcel. Our renewal levy does not change the amount paid if passed.

What does this mean? It means that a YES vote will not increase your taxes. We will still be paying the same amount. We are at the state minimum for what we pay per House Bill 920 from 1976.

If the upcoming levy fails, Hillsdale stands to lose approximately $2.9 million in March 2026 and $5.8 million starting in 2027. This lost funding comes directly from public utility companies, meaning those corporations will save money- not the taxpayer.

Remember to vote yes to preserve what public utilities pay. We are at the state floor for what taxpayers are obligated to pay.

Hillsdale Local Schools is taking a renewal levy back to the ballot this May after voters split on a pair of them last November.

We are 1 month away from the big day with early voting hours open now!! Remember a yes or no vote costs taxpayers the same!! We won’t see a discount since we’re at the state minimum.
