Musicians Mission of Mercy Uniting compassionate musicians through hands-on service. Help feed the hungry and serve military veterans with your talent and donations.

If you are a musician with a heart to help others, partner with Musicians Mission of Mercy now. You can make a difference in the lives of the hungry, including children, the elderly, disabled veterans and their families. Two ways you can help: 1. On the day of your concert (or the day before if it better serves your schedule), help distribute boxes of nutritious food, personal care items and paper

products face-to-face to people in need while showing them love and respect. 2. Invite us to one of your tour dates to take up donations to buy provisions for distribution. As a member of Musicians Mission of Mercy, you will get a monthly report on work accomplished with your donation. Transparency is our goal. A HU-U-U-GE THANK YOU to all who supported a very fun and successful 2nd annual "Cool Corner Connection" Trop Rock Festival!

Special thanks goes to Old Barn Winery for all the hard work and generosity their owners and staff put into hosting this event and donating the proceeds to help us feed our Ashe County neighbors in need. And a big tip of the fins to Sherman and Beth Lyle for so much help in planning, organizing and pulling off the festivities.

Thanks to all the Trop Rock fans who came to one or more of the shows, bought a silent auction item or merchandise, or made a cash donation. Total proceeds are still being tallied, but we raised enough funds to provide more than 5,200 meal servings in the coming months!

We greatly appreciate all our event sponsors: Bobby D Restaurant, Bocca Bistro, Bohemia Coffee House, Cindy Randolph CPA, Joel W. Last but not least, a big shout out to all the fabulous artists who came from far and wide to perform fantastic Trop Rock music all weekend long. Special thanks goes to Klee Liles for gathering such a stellar lineup of performers and for playing bass in several different bands. A big round of applause for Roger Bartlett, Klee & Phins, Tall Paul & Kristie, John Frinzi, John Patti, Wes Powers, Aaron Burleson and JB & The Section. When many of them played together for the all-star Jimmy Buffett tribute, they sounded like the Coral Re**er Band reincarnated!

A heartfelt thanks again to everyone involved. We couldn't do what we do to feed our mountain neighbors in need without you. God bless you all!

ONE MORE TIME! Today brings the final event of this year's "Cool Corner Connection" Trop Rock Festival at Old Barn Winery. Come join us today from 2 to 5 pm to hear the cool vibes of JB and The Section. This band features Jonathan Birchfield, an artist who has been touring the southeast U.S. for more than 35 years. Back in the day, JB played at the original Margaritaville in Key West and has shared the stage with Jimmy Buffett himself on several occasions. All proceeds from the show support Musicians Mission of Mercy, helping us feed our Ashe County neighbors in need. IT STARTS TODAY!

The "Cool Corner Connection" Trop Rock Festival kicks off with a bang today at Old Barn Winery, starting at 3 pm. Here is the weekend's stellar line-up:

Friday, August 7, 3 to 6 pm - Roger Bartlett, the original guitarist of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Re**er Band, takes the stage accompanied by local favorite and Trop Rock veteran Klee Liles.

Saturday, August 8, noon to 6 pm - Dance your flip flops off with an afternoon filled with Trop Rock legends. Klee & Phins, John Frinzi, Tall Paul & Kristie, and an all-star Jimmy Buffett tribute band playing "Jimmy's Last Jam" featuring much of the set list from Mr. Buffett's final live show.

Sunday, August 9, 2 to 5 pm - JB & The Section showcases John Birchfield and his rich history of playing at Margaritaville and the Key West circuit.

ALSO, on Saturday, Musicians Mission of Mercy will hold a silent auction of special items.

All proceeds from the festival benefit Musicians Mission of Mercy to help feed our Ashe County neighbors in need.

Next Saturday, August 8 from 12 PM – 6 PM, the grand centerpiece of the Cool Corner Connection Festival takes over Old Barn Winery for an unforgettable afternoon of music, community, and purpose.

🎶 Throughout the day, you'll experience an incredible lineup of seasoned Trop Rock artists from across the country.

⭐ Then, to close out the afternoon, we're bringing an all-star Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band to the stage featuring Roger Bartlett — the ORIGINAL guitarist of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Re**er Band.
