We are incredibly proud of Jackson County 4-H’er Eden Pethel for her outstanding accomplishment! 💚

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution honoring Eden for her winning design of Georgia’s commemorative license plate celebrating America’s 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War. 🇺🇸

What an amazing achievement and a true testament to the creativity, talent, and hard work of our 4-H youth. Eden is representing Jackson County in a big way, and we couldn’t be more excited to see her design recognized across the state!

Congratulations, Eden—we are so proud of you! 🌟

What an incredible day at Jackson County Agriculture Day! 🌱🐄

We were proud to welcome over 900 5th grade students from across the county for a full day of hands-on learning, exploration, and connection to agriculture. From livestock to natural resources to careers in agriculture, students experienced just how important and diverse our agricultural community truly is.

This event would not be possible without the amazing support of our booth hosts who gave their time, knowledge, and passion to educate our youth. A special thank you to the Empower College & Career Academy FFA Officers for hosting several engaging booths throughout the day, along with the Mobile Dairy Classroom, NRCS – Natural Resource Conservation Service, UNG – College & Careers in Agriculture, UNG – Crops & Animal Feed, Pilgrim’s (Chicks), Risen Lamb Farm (Sheep), Trevor Jones, Jackson County Cattlemen's Association, Love of Llamas, Ally Bees, Galilee Veterinary, Oconee County Extension (Bats), Commerce Beekeeping Club, and our very on ANR Agent Greg Pittman. Your willingness to invest in our youth and share your expertise made this day truly meaningful.

A very special thank you to the Jackson County Farm Bureau for providing lunch for all of our booth hosts and volunteers. Your continued support of agriculture education and our community does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful.

We are also incredibly thankful for our volunteers, teachers, and partners who helped make the day run smoothly. Events like this truly showcase the power of collaboration and the importance of agricultural literacy.

And most importantly—our students showed up curious, engaged, and ready to learn. That’s what it’s all about.

Additionally, this event would not be possible without the continued support of the Jackson County Agriculture Facility and their commitment to our youth and agricultural education.

Today we celebrate an incredible accomplishment by one of our own—Coleman Rudisill! 🇺🇸✈️

Coleman has officially accepted his appointment to the United States Air Force Academy, and we could not be more proud of him. This achievement reflects years of hard work, leadership, and dedication, and it is truly well deserved.

It was an honor to be part of such a special day alongside Congressman Andrew Clyde, Coleman’s family, and his brother Caleb—who is already serving at the United States West Point Naval Academy. Seeing this family’s commitment to service is nothing short of inspiring.

From watching Coleman sign, to hearing his words during his speech, it was clear that his future is bright and full of purpose.

Congratulations, Coleman—we are cheering you on every step of the way!

What an incredible day at Northeast District Cloverleaf Project Achievement! 🎉

Yesterday, over 250 talented 4th–6th grade 4-H’ers from across the district gathered at Empower College and Career Center to showcase their hard work, creativity, and confidence. From Agricultural Awareness to Workforce Preparation and Career Development—spanning more than 50 different project areas—these young leaders truly shined! 🌟

We are especially proud of our Jackson County 4-H’ers! With 146 students presenting, they represented our county in a BIG way—and their efforts paid off! Jackson County brought home both the Largest Delegate Award and the Largest Percent of Winners Award! 🏆💚

The future is bright with these 4-H’ers leading the way. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success—students, families, volunteers, and supporters.

The EJES Aggies After School crew was feeling blue today… and we mean that in the best way! 🫐

Our students spent the afternoon learning all about blueberries. They worked together to answer questions and crack the code to unlock four mystery boxes, testing their knowledge along the way. Once they solved the challenges, they wrapped up the day with a blueberry tasting, exploring the sweet side of what they learned.

A big thank you to Kasey Bozeman for the great curriculum that made today’s activity both educational and fun!

Hands-on learning, teamwork, and a little bit of tasty fun made for a great afternoon with our Aggies! 💙🍀
