💔 It’s with broken hearts all around that Shae is coming back into rescue. 💔

Her adopted hoomans are heartbroken.
We are heartbroken.
And we know her buddy Finn is going to be heartbroken, too. 💔🐾

We want to make one thing VERY clear — Shae is absolutely loved and adored by her family. This is not a decision they wanted to make. They have tried all the tips, tricks and suggestions they could to make things work because they desperately wanted to keep their girl.

Shae did great with their resident Chow mix for quite some time. Unfortunately, the two eventually had a scuffle, and despite her family’s efforts, they simply haven’t been able to move past it and safely get things back to where they were.

Sometimes, despite all the love in the world and everyone’s best efforts, things just don’t work out the way we hoped. 💔 There are no bad guys here. Just a family making an incredibly difficult decision because they want what is best for all of the dogs involved.

Now our focus is on Shae and making sure her next stop is a loving home.

We REALLY don’t want to see this sweet girl return to boarding. Her previous foster home would gladly welcome her back, but they are currently doing a medical foster with our sweet boy Bolt.

So we are asking our village…

🙏 Can anyone open their home to foster Shae? Better yet, is her forever family out there?

Shae has so much going for her:

🐾 Great with kids
🐾 Wonderful with resident male Husky Finn
🐾 Has done great with the Huskies she has played with in boarding and foster
🐾 Kennel/crate trained
🐾 Housebroken
🐾 Already knows how to live in a home and be part of a family ❤️

Based on what we know about Shae, we think she would do best with a male Husky companion. She might just be a little bit of a Husky snob. Apparently she knows what she likes!

This girl has already known the comfort of a home and the love of a family. We desperately want her to go from one home to another and never have to step foot back into boarding.

Please share Shae. Please consider fostering. Please consider adopting.

Her family loves her enough to make an incredibly hard decision. Now we need our village to love her enough to help us find her next landing spot. 🩷🐾🐾🩷

💙💕🐾 AND THAT’S A WRAP ON DIVIDE & CONQUER! 🐾💕💙

Ending it with the DYNAMIC DUO — Martin & Sahara! ❤️

We’ve said before that we would LOVE to see these two stay together, but it wasn’t necessarily a have-to situation.

After today, though?

We’re thinking whoever opens their home to both of these babies is going to fall absolutely head over heels in love.

Martin and Sahara have such a special little relationship. When they came out today, Martin was completely in tune with his girl. He wanted to make sure Sahara was right there beside him. He wasn’t leaving her behind—he waited for her, watched her and seemed ready for whatever her next step was.

And that means a lot because Sahara is still a very nervous girl. She needs a little time to decide that everything—and everyone—is okay.

But today she VERY quickly decided that Dave was okay. Before long, she was giving him the belly and soaking up the attention!

And apparently Martin decided Dave was pretty great too. 🤣 Big ol’ Martin decided he was a LAP DOG and Dave’s lap was the PERFECT place to land!

Oh, and did we mention Martin had JUST gotten out of the pool?!

Nothing says “I love you” quite like a big, soaking-wet Shepherd plopping himself right in your lap. Sorry, Dave!

Then the fun started…

Martin and Sahara decided to run the yard. They ran, romped, wrestled and rolled around in the dirt like two dogs who didn’t have a care in the world. And even went for a swim.

And apparently we learned something else today…

💨 SAHARA IS FASTER THAN MARTIN! 💨

And Martin was NOT impressed. 🤣🤣 That boy was hollering at her as she outran him! Don’t worry—we have video evidence coming later.

Watching these two together just reinforced how much confidence Sahara gets from having Martin nearby—and how much Martin seems to care about where his girl is. They really do complement each other beautifully.

So yes…we would LOVE to find them a foster home together.

But even better?

🧡🐾 MILO — OH, SWEET MILO! 🐾🧡

This boy is as handsome as can be. And the more time we spend with him, the more we think he’s just a little cautious and still trying to figure out everything that has happened in his world.

He traveled halfway across the country, landed in a completely new place with new people, new dogs, new smells…that’s a LOT. So for now, we’re letting Milo move at his own pace while we get to know him.

Today we introduced him to Sahara, and Milo was a PERFECT gentleman! And Sahara? Well…she was pretty smitten.

Easy there, girl…we might have to tell Martin!

But back to Milo…

He was sweet, calm and cautious with us today. He sat nicely for treats—although it took a little convincing to get him to sit at first. Once he figured out treats were involved, he was definitely interested!

And apparently Milo is a saver. He buried a couple of his treats for later…but unfortunately for him, the dogs who came out after him found his secret stash. Sorry, buddy!

We’re still learning who Milo is, and we’ll continue sharing more as he starts to relax and show us his personality.

What we DO know is that this sweet boy is ready to get OUT OF BOARDING.

FOSTER OR ADOPT MILO!

A foster home would give Milo the chance to decompress, feel safe and show us who he really is outside of the boarding environment. And who knows…maybe his foster home will turn into his forever.

Come give this handsome, cautious, sweet boy a chance.

🎶 Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry… 🎶

Welllll… Chevy says that levee has PLENTY of water! 😂💦

This boy LOVES the water! It was HOT today, and Chevy knew exactly what to do — climb right into that pool, plop himself down and COOL OFF. 😂 There’s no convincing this guy the levee is dry!

Chevy also got to meet Berg today! 🐾 The boys did okay together. Chevy had some energy he was ready to burn off, while Berg was his calm, respectful self and gave Chevy the space he needed. Another good opportunity for us to learn more about both of these handsome boys. ❤️

But here’s the thing…

Chevy is tired of boarding. He’s ready for more than visits and playtime. He wants a HOME. He wants his people. He wants a place where he can stretch out, relax and maybe have his very own kiddie pool. 😉💦

🤍🐾 DIVIDE & CONQUER — UP NEXT: BERG! 🐾🤍

Ohhhh, BERG! 😍 Just look at this handsome 3-year-old boy!

And honestly… AMAZING pretty much sums him up.

🤍 Handsome as can be
🤍 BIG ol’ Shepherd boy
🤍 Just an all-around GOOD BOY!

Berg got to meet Chevy, and the boys did great together! 👏 They checked each other out, hung out, and Berg showed us what a calm, respectful guy he can be.

He even decided to take a quick dip in the pool! 💦 And when I say quick, I mean QUICK — in and out before I could even snap a picture! 😂 Apparently Berg wasn’t interested in giving us photographic evidence of his swimming skills.

This big, handsome Shepherd continues to impress us. There is just something about this boy.

Three years old. Handsome. Calm. Respectful. Dog-friendly with Chevy. And ready for someone to give him a chance.

Berg is looking for a foster or forever home where he can finally settle in and show you just how amazing he really is.

🐾 HOLD UP… WAIT A MINUTE! 🐾

Remember when we said Kuzu was the finale of our Split Up & Conquer series?

Yeahhhh… about that. 😂

We split up. We conquered. We sent Ziggy, Zane and Kuzu off on their adventures…

But wait a minute. 🤔

Aren’t we missing a few dogs from boarding?!

We sure are!

While some of the crew headed offsite, we purposely kept Martin, Sahara, Chevy, Berg and Milo behind at boarding for their own afternoon of fun, playtime and some introductions to one another. 🐾❤️

Why did they stay behind?

Well, Chevy, Sahara and Milo have made their feelings about car rides pretty clear. We’re still not quite sure how Berg feels about them yet.

Martin? He really doesn’t care. 🤷‍♀️😂

But Martin stayed behind for a very important reason…

SAHARA. ❤️

That’s his girl. His best bud. Her security blanket. Sahara gains so much confidence from having Martin by her side, and there was no reason to take that away from her just so he could go offsite.

So Martin stayed with his bestie. We will dive more into that on their post…

And that means our Split Up & Conquer series ISN’T OVER!

Now we’re switching gears and focusing on the STAY-BEHIND CREW!

They may not have gone on a road trip, but they still got out of their kennels, stretched those legs, played, had some fun and — most importantly — got the opportunity for us to introduce some of them to one another and learn a little more about each dog.

And you KNOW we have pictures, videos and stories to share.
