NOVEMBER 19, 1988 – With the torrent backfield of Rick Henry, Damon Frost and Tim Benson, and with the athletic prowess of Steve Aldridge at QB, the Jays displayed the power of their running offense.

29 years ago today, with a majority of the team playing on both sides of the ball, the Jays' defense put a stop to Rockhurst in record fashion. Although elite recruits and ginormous players prevailed on Rockhurst's lineup, the 'home-grown' Jaybirds hold the Hawklets to -37 yards rushing and win 36-0 in this Semi-final trouncing. Delivering the worst loss Kansas City Rockhurst had experienced in 27 years.
