Good morning Au Sable Valley!
I want to take a moment to THANK YOU for stepping up in the first month of fundraising for Kendall Hartson LeMay Dog Park!
We have collected $298 in cash, $465 in personal checks, & $200 in credit card donations. Add in the $109 donated at last year’s Jay Day, and we currently have $1072 raised toward the construction & maintenance of our future riverside Dog Park in Au Sable Forks!
A special appreciation to Greg Pedrick for sponsoring our first donation can on behalf of his beautiful companion Remy!

Hello, we are seeking ideas & guidance for the design of a new dog park planned for Au Sable Forks.
We want to make the site as accessible as possible.
It will be in a river side field at 23 Grove Rd., on the Jay side of the Forks.
Does anyone know of a group, or individual, who could assist us specifically with accessibility planning?

Larry & I (Sarah) will be hosting a public visit/Q&A at the future site of Kendall Hartson LeMay Dog Park, 23 Grove Rd., Au Sable Forks at 1:30pm!
Come out & get a feel for what is coming! We welcome your questions & suggestions.
This presentation is part of the Jay Volunteer Day. If you are available that morning, please sign up to help get the parks ready for spring!

Edit to add: The Town of Jay is supplying the parcel, & insurance. We are fundraising for all aspects of the park infrastructure and maintenance.
We are also looking for Friends of Kendall’s Dog Park volunteers willing to commit 2-4 hours a month to help move this project forward, & check in on it once built!

Our Dog Park has a name!

KENDALL HARTSON LEMAY DOG PARK will be located in the field at 23 Grove Rd., on the Jay side of the river in the Hamlet of Au Sable Forks.

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in voting on the official name!
This name received 87 out of 142 total votes cast in the final round.
Honoring Kendall in this way is so meaningful to her surviving family.

We have also secured a fiscal sponsor: Lake Placid, NY Rotary Foundation! This enables us to officially start the fundraising process (stay tuned for updates on this).

And we now have the official support of the the Town of Jay, in a resolution passed by the Town Board on 3/12/26!

Civics Club Meeting TODAY, 1pm @ Wells Memorial Library in Upper Jay!
Gather with community minded neighbors to make connections, bounce ideas, & get inspired!
Additionally, we are entering a more active phase of the Kendall Hartson LeMay Dog Park (Au Sable Forks) planning. We are hoping to recruit volunteers willing to donate ~4 hours/month (flexible!) as part of the FRIENDS OF THE DOG PARK committee. We are ready to actively fundraise, spread the word, finalize design, liaise with community, create graphics, pamphlets & signs, & ultimately to help build, supervise & maintain the park itself.
