It's hard to believe this sweet girl is still available!

Ember is 1 year old, an affectionate torbie and professional attention seeker. She'll follow you around the house, chat about her day, and make sure you know exactly when she's ready for pets. If you're sitting nearby and not petting her, expect to hear about it. 😹

Ember is a purring machine who loves scratches, affection, and any form of wet food. She has a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a talent for making people fall in love with her within minutes.

While she prefers keeping all four paws on the ground instead of being carried around, she's happiest when she's close to her people and involved in whatever they're doing.

She's spent the last few months putting her kittens first. Now it's Ember's turn to be spoiled, cherished, and loved as the baby of the family. 🧡

Yesterday we pulled 3 lab mix pups from a local shelter who were reported to be "sweet but terrified, especially on leash". These pups were brought in as strays and had notes of "hiding under desk, frozen, had to carry- wont walk on leash".
These pics are all taken within 12 hours of being in foster home. They are so much more confident, loving, affectionate, even walking on leash!
THIS is the difference a foster home makes.
THIS is how we save lives.
Fostering allows an animal to feel safe, learn manners, (sometimes even a few tricks!), and have much higher chances of adoption. It opens up kennel space in the shelter for the never ending intake of strays and owner surrenders.

Meet Chewbacca ("Chewy") tomorrow at Falling Branch Brewery! At just 1 year old and 19 pounds, Chewy is the perfect pint sized companion!
This adorable poodle mix has settled beautifully into foster care and has proven to be a friendly, easygoing guy. He's doing great with the dogs, kids, and even the cat in his foster home. Whether he's making new furry friends, soaking up attention from his people, or just hanging out nearby, Chewy is happy to be part of the action. He LOVES belly rubs.
Chewy has a sweet, affectionate nature and loves being included in whatever his family is doing. He's the kind of dog who will happily join you for adventures, then curl up nearby when it's time to relax

Mama Bear is estimated to be between 2–5 years old and is truly one of a kind. Her DNA test came back with 7+ breeds mixed in, with Chihuahua being the most prominent — but honestly, she mostly just looks like a tiny bear with her gorgeous brown coat and soulful eyes. At just under 20 pounds, she’s the perfect compact companion size.

Mama Bear is a very low-key, easygoing girl. She loves leisurely walks, car rides, lounging on the sofa, and quietly following her humans from room to room. She’s not much of a toy dog — her favorite thing is simply being near her people. She also does well being left home alone and gets along with cats.

She is potty trained, though she does occasionally mark indoors. It’s rare, and she tolerates wearing a diaper well if needed. Mama Bear is up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives and is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. The rescue will continue covering treatment cost.

After everything she’s been through, Mama Bear deserves a calm, loving home where she can finally relax and be someone’s little shadow. 🐾
