We are getting so excited about the upcoming fundraiser this Saturday! We want to give you a sneak peek into one of the silent auction items. A Personal Color Analysis was donated by Jenny Modlin at House of Colour in Bath. There are a lot of details so please read all about it. We are excited to present this to you to bid on! Please be in prayer for Cleveland County and their emergency services department. 💔

This week, Emergency Medical Services lost one of its own.

Paramedic Ashley Moore of Cleveland County, NC was killed Monday when her ambulance was rear-ended while she was in the back, treating a patient. She served her community for nine years — including as a Field Training Officer, helping shape the next generation of medics. Gone in an instant.

It’s a hard reminder of something people don’t always think about: an ambulance isn’t just a vehicle getting somewhere fast. It’s a mobile ER. The people inside are highly trained medical providers, actively delivering care.

And the risk is real. EMS workers face a fatal injury rate over twice the national average — on par with police and firefighters. The majority of those deaths are transportation-related.

So please: when you see lights, slow down. Move over. Give us room. It could be the difference between someone going home tonight and a family getting the call no one wants.

Rest easy, Ashley. Our profession is better for the years you gave it.
