At the end of last month, October 2019, Worldwide Friends of Ugandan Orphans began construction on a new school for Trio School & Orphanage in Mityana, Uganda. Trio Orphanage cares for over 100 orphaned children, all of whom depend on the associated school for their primary education. On November 16, Worldwide Friends of Ugandan Orphans is hosting award-winning Mediterranean guitarist Pavlo at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston, MA, and with this we launch our biggest mission yet: to build a new school for Trio School & Orphanage in Mityana, Uganda. The floor plans for the new school are already prepared, foretelling a two-story, six-classroom structure, which will replace the tattered tarp walls and precarious wooden ceiling of the current "building" in which which the orphans currently learn. The new school will radically change the education of over 100 orphans in Mityana, lifting them closer to their aspirations for purposeful lives beyond the orphanage.
