Sometimes I think the internet, social media are the devil. Everywhere I look there’s something heartbreaking, cruelty toward animals & people, hurting each other, children being mistreated, fighting at school. There is so much violence and hate out here it’s overwhelming.

I find myself going back to simple, lighthearted animal posts, just to laugh, smile, and take a break from it all for a moment. We all need those little escapes sometimes. 💛 here’s a small dose for a pick me up: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQnBDKYkj5D/?igsh=MTJjZTltaWUycXZ0NQ==

Another POS abandoned a doggie, although probably best that this poor pup is no longer with the POS🤔

🚨Animal Control Requesting Assistance from the Public🚨

Our animal control team is asking for the community’s help in identifying the owner of this dog pictured below. This sweet little dog was picked up by animal control after being found abandoned inside of a pet carrier near the intersection of Schmidt Road and W. Cloud Springs Rd. in Rossville Tuesday evening March 17th, 2026. Animal control officers also found this note written on top of the pet carrier.

If you recognize this dog, or have any other information, please contact Walker County Animal Control at 706-924-0053 or [email protected]. Tips can be provided anonymously.

Thank you for your assistance. 🐾
