So very sad to hear that Brooke Eby passed away. She embodied the spirit of Lou Gehrig not by allowing ALS to define her, but by meeting it with remarkable openness, humor, and strength. 💙

After her ALS diagnosis in March 2022, Brooke refused to disappear into the background. She spoke candidly about the realities of the disease, invited others into her journey, and helped people feel less alone. Her willingness to be seen and heard created space for a broader, more compassionate conversation around ALS.

Her impact reaches far beyond awareness. Brooke was a trailblazer whose advocacy, style, honesty, and fearless spirit changed the ALS community for the better. She showed that a meaningful life can still be lived loudly, truthfully, and on one’s own terms.
