One of my favorite parts of Lucy’s Lemonade Stand has become seeing what each host makes it.

Every stand looks a little different. Some are huge events and some are a table at the end of a driveway. Some are hosted by people who knew and loved Lucy, and some are hosted by people who never had the chance to meet her.

There are handmade signs, kids squeezing lemons, neighbors stopping by, friends showing up, and so many people finding their own way to take a stand against childhood cancer.

62 stands. SIXTY-two!

We spend so much of September trying to keep up with where all of the stands are happening that sometimes I don’t really get to take it all in until afterward.

Now that things have slowed down a little, I finally get to look back at all of it.

These are just some of the moments from this year’s stands. There are so many more that aren’t pictured here, but every single stand was part of making this year what it was.

And there are a lot of really good stories to tell.

To every host, every volunteer, every person who donated, and everyone who showed up to support a stand, thank you for helping us honor Lucy and raise funds for childhood cancer research. 💛🍋

September may be over, but Lucy’s Lemonade Stands are still standing. 🍋

We still have a few hosts who weren’t able to hold their stands during September, we’re still getting totals from stands that did, and we’re still collecting donations.

Which means we still don’t know our final number!

We’ll reveal the 2026 Lucy’s Lemonade Stand total at the Fourth and Gold Golden Gala on November 12th, and we would love for you to join us when we finally get to share what all of these stands accomplished together.

September is the busiest and fastest month of our year, but also one of the most meaningful in so many ways.

I survived 30 days of sharing Lucy’s story and childhood cancer awareness information. We celebrated what would have been Lucy’s 11th birthday, made it through another September 26th, watched lemonade stands happen all over Jacksonville and way beyond, and tried to soak in as much of it as we could along the way.

And then October came and I needed a minute.

So while I’ve been a little quiet here, we haven’t stopped working behind the scenes. There are still stands happening, money coming in, photos to go through and lots of loose ends to tie up before we can officially call our fifth year of Lucy’s Lemonade Stand complete.

And then we get to find out what all of you did.

November 12th. The Golden Gala. The 2026 reveal.

September ends today. Childhood cancer doesn’t.

Thank you for looking. For learning. For remembering. For showing up.

Tomorrow, the gold ribbons may start disappearing from our feeds. The families living this reality don’t get to move on with the calendar.

So neither will we.

Our stand against childhood cancer continues. 💛

There are so many things I didn’t know about childhood cancer until it became our life.

Childhood cancer isn’t one disease. There are many different types, and cancers in children can behave very differently from cancers in adults.

Kids aren’t little adults. Their bodies and brains are still growing, and the treatments used to save their lives can affect that development in ways that may not show up until years later.

Survival can come with lifelong effects. Hearing loss. Heart problems. Infertility. Learning difficulties. Secondary cancers. Growth and developmental changes. And so much more.

Cancer affects the whole family. It changes childhoods, siblings, marriages, careers, finances, routines and the way a family moves through the world.

And this is the part I hope people remember:

We don’t just need more cures. We need better cures.

We need treatments developed for children. Treatments that give more kids the chance to grow up, while doing less harm to the lives we are fighting so hard to save.

Because surviving childhood cancer should mean getting the chance to truly live after it.

September may be almost over, but childhood cancer doesn’t end when Childhood Cancer Awareness Month does. Keep learning. Keep sharing. Keep showing up. 💛

Tomorrow marks three years without Lucy.

Last year, we asked anyone who wanted to join us to watch the sunrise or sunset, wherever you were, and to take a moment to think of her.

We’re asking you to do it again.

Tomorrow, September 26, watch the sun come up or go down. Tell someone about her. Play Cover Me in Sunshine. Think about that beautiful smile, her laugh, her love for life, or whatever part of Lucy that has stayed with you.

You don’t have to be anywhere special. You don’t have to do anything big.

Just take a moment and be with us as we remember our girl.

And if you do, we’d love for you to share your sky with us.

There are parts of treatment that I can explain with dates, diagnoses and medical words. And then there are parts I still don’t really know how to explain.

The feeling sending your child back for what should be a routine scan and finding yourself in the PICU.

Watching her body endure bone marrow transplant and realizing we had no idea whatt “hard” could actually mean. I will never forget the day her nose started bleeding and wouldn’t stop. Her counts were so low that her body couldn’t clot, and eventually they had to pack her nose to control the bleeding. I remember standing there watching it happen and feeling completely helpless.

Celebrating clear scans with ice cream and spaghetti, believing for a moment that maybe we were finally on the other side of it, and nine days later hearing that she had a brain tumor and needed emergency surgery.

Those moments were gut wrenching. There was no time to process one thing before we had to make decisions about the next.

Cancer treatment wasn’t just the treatment plan. It was everything that could happen along the way.

And somehow, in the middle of all of it, Lucy was still Lucy.

Every single stand represents a family, school, neighborhood, business or group of friends choosing to stand with us. Some have been doing this alongside us for years. Some are hosting for the very first time. And every one of them means more to us than we can say.
