A new business with deep OutEast roots! For our next feature, we’re highlighting Suddy Bubbz , a new auto detailing shop owned by Seth Sutton.

Seth's family’s ties OutEast go back generations through his mother, grandparents and other relatives who were raised here.

Opened in June, Suddy Bubbz offers a wide range of detailing services at an accessible price, with both an OutEast location on the corner of Union and Florida Avenue and mobile service options.

A huge thank you to the Board and staff of MainStreet DeLand Association for once again opening your doors and welcoming me into your Board meeting and strategy session. This is what Florida Main Street collaboration and mentorship look like—sharing ideas, learning from one another, and making each other stronger.

A special shoutout to Stephanie Garcia Mullins, you are an absolute rock star! And it's always a pleasure to spend time with Karon Dixon, our friend Palmetto Downtown Main Street, Inc. Grateful to be part of a network that's always willing to share, support, and inspire.

Sometimes, it doesn’t take a large investment to make a meaningful difference for a small business. Through our Small Flexible Grant Program, FAMS recently supported Concrete Renovations, owned by Avery McKnight.

It’s one of the ways FAMS is helping our small businesses grow, remain sustainable, and continue serving The Ave for years to come.

Day 3 was a BLAST... literally! 🚀

Today was packed from start to finish. Kicked off the day with two outstanding learning sessions: Creative Community Engagement Strategies and Collaborate, Promote & Grow with Visit Florida—both full of ideas to bring back home.

The perfect ending? Celebrating at the SOS Awards Gala at the Kennedy Space Center, where we experienced the awe of the Apollo 11 launch and applauded the incredible work of colleagues from Main Streets across Florida.

Watching those award winners reminded me why we do this work. FAMS will be on that stage in Clermont in 2027.

The future is bright for The Ave, and we're just getting started.

Day 2... DONE! ✅

Another day of learning, exploring, and seeing Main Street through a new lens.

Today was all about telling your Main Street story through community audits and discovering how powerful storytelling can be in creating stronger, more connected places. Every storefront, mural, sidewalk, and public space has a story to tell—we just have to know how to uncover and share it.

Highlights from the day:
*Learning how community audits can reveal both opportunities and hidden assets.
*Exploring creative ways to engage people in discovering and experiencing Main Street.
*A fun surprise—walking past an "attic" bearing my name!
*Leaving inspired with new ideas to bring back to Florida Avenue Main Street.

The best part of these experiences isn't just gaining knowledge—it's imagining how these ideas can help preserve our history, celebrate our culture, and strengthen our community for generations to come.

Day 1...all roads lead to Cocoa and . Reconnecting with my Florida Main Street folks for learning, sharing, and yes...fun and relaxation.

There was even a rocket launch.

TODAY! TODAY! TODAY! This is going to be a WHOLE vibe. Come and support Elevated Media and our local (and some not so local, but loved) artists as they "paint the town red" (really they are painting UTW which is in the FAMS district)😄.

Vendors, food trucks, and more will be on site at 700 E Union St. at Union Terminal Warehouse. This is fun for the whole family. You won't want to miss the walls come alive!!
