Chapin Area Rescue Squad The Chapin Area Rescue Squad serves the Villages of Chapin and Concord with BLS Transport Ambulance Service as well as specialized rescue.

The Chapin Area Rescue Squad is the provider of basic life support ambulance service to the communities of Chapin, Concord, and the surrounding rural area. The squad was started in the spring of 2007, with a small number of volunteers, a vehicle on loan from the Chapin Volunteer Fire Department, and augmented by the Meredosia/Bluffs Volunteer Rescue Squad. Due to overwhelming community support and

generous donations, the squad has not only been able to upgrade its equipment and services, but also began transporting patients in 2010.

As severe weather approaches, here is a reminder on the difference between watches and warnings.

Also, outdoor weather sirens only activate to warn you of approaching severe storms and/or tornados. They will not sound for an all clear. A second siren activation is for an additional warning.
