Alum launches with Artemis II.

04/01/2026

Best of luck to Christina Koch and the Artemis II crew as they prepare for their historic journey around the Moon. Koch hails from Jacksonville, NC, and attended Hunters Creek Middle School, White Oak High School, and NC School of Science and Math, then graduated from NC State University. With more than 300 days aboard the International Space Station and as part of the first all-woman spacewalk, Koch has already made history—and she’s not done yet. Artemis II will make her the first woman ever to travel beyond low Earth orbit. Don’t miss this incredible moment.

“Remember the Ladies.”

On March 31, 1776, Abigail Adams wrote these famous words to her husband, John Adams, who was serving in the Continental Congress as America moved closer to declaring independence.

Her letter was both thoughtful and bold—urging that the new laws of the nation should not forget the rights and voices of women.

While the Revolution is often remembered for battles and declarations, women like Abigail Adams helped shape the conversation about liberty, responsibility, and the future of the new republic.

Nearly 250 years later, her words continue to remind us that the story of America has always included the voices and contributions of women.

What Revolutionary-era woman inspires you most?🇺🇸

On March 31, 1776, as the foundations of a new nation were being debated, Abigail Adams wrote to her husband, John Adams, with a message that still resonates today:

“I desire you would Remember the Ladies…”

She urged that women be considered in the nation's new laws, warning against placing “unlimited power into the hands of the Husbands.”

It was an early call to expand the meaning of liberty—though, like much of the era, that vision did not yet extend to all.

A simple phrase. A lasting idea. And the inspiration behind our “Remember the Ladies” design.

March 29 — National Vietnam War Veterans Day

They answered America’s call.

Today we honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who served during the Vietnam War. Many returned home quietly, without the welcome they deserved. On this day, we pause to remember their dedication and to say a simple but heartfelt thank you.

Their names, their stories, and their service remain part of our nation’s history and our collective memory.

🇺🇸 With gratitude and respect, we honor our Vietnam Veterans.

251 years ago this week…

Patrick Henry stood before the Second Virginia Convention and spoke the words that helped galvanize the colonies toward independence:

"Give me liberty, or give me death!"

His call for freedom helped spark a movement that would soon change the course of history.

🇺🇸 As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, we remember the voices that first called for liberty.

Women’s History Month — 💬 Is there a woman in your family’s history who inspires you?

During the American Revolution, women supported the cause of independence in many ways — managing households and businesses, producing supplies, gathering intelligence, and sustaining their communities.

Their contributions were essential to the birth of our nation.

This month we honor the women of the past and the women who continue to serve their communities today.

☘️ The luck started in 1776.
🇺🇸The legacy continues today.

This St. Patrick’s Day we honor the Patriots who secured American independence — and the families who carry their stories forward.
