Help! Furnishing apartment for Afghan family recently evacuated to Jacksonville (father was an interpreter for US MILITARY.) Student at HAE, middle schooler & high schooler. Bunk beds, mattresses, bedding. Anything new or gently used, like new, would be fantastic. We are working on a complete, detailed list of needs. If you have anything, please send photos and measurements if possible. All help is so appreciated!

***Update on an Urgent Need!
We continue to play the waiting game with the Department of Homeland Security and the processing of the family's Humanitarian Parole applications.
Sadly, our son had to return to the family home and is in hiding. Other male family members have been taken into custody several times and interrogated. They continue to struggle with food and isolation.
The son, who worked for the US military and was evacuated to Texas, has been hard at work with us to find a solution to ease their situation while we wait.
Thanks to distant family members, an opportunity has opened to move the family in stages to another country. Of course, this requires funding for the travel expenses and visas, which are, unfortunately, expensive.
Everyone has been so generous with their giving. Thank you! We are asking, once again, for funds to cover these costs. Our goal is $12,000.
