Follow What Is Good – 3 John 1:11

“Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.” – 3 John 1:11

In a world where influence is everywhere, we must be intentional about what we follow. John reminds us that our actions reveal the condition of our hearts, those who do good reflect God’s nature, while those who practice evil show they do not truly know Him.

Choose righteousness. Walk in integrity. Let your life be a testimony of God’s goodness. Even when others around you choose a different path, stand firm in truth.

Who or what are you imitating today? Seek to follow Christ, and His goodness will shine through you.

Devotion and Honor Keep Love Alive

In our Christian walk, love is not just an emotion but a commitment, a choice to honor God and one another through devotion and respect. True love, whether in marriage, friendships, or within the body of Christ, flourishes when it is nurtured by faithfulness and reverence.

1. Devotion Strengthens Love

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:10 (NIV)

Devotion requires intentionality. To truly love as Christ commands, we must dedicate ourselves to serving and uplifting others, placing their needs above our own. Whether in relationships, ministry, or daily interactions, love grows when we commit to faithfulness and selflessness.

2. Honor Preserves Love

“Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.” Hebrews 13:4 (ESV)

Honor is the foundation that sustains love. When we respect and value those we care about whether in marriage, friendships, or community we create an environment where love can thrive. Honor in relationships reflects our reverence for God, showing that we cherish what He has given us.

Living It Out
• Choose to be consistent in your love and commitment to others.
• Speak and act in ways that uplift and encourage rather than tear down.
• Reflect Christ’s love by showing grace, patience, and selflessness in your relationships.

When love is rooted in devotion and honor, it becomes unshakable, reflecting the very heart of God. Let us strive to love as He loves, faithfully, sacrificially, and with unwavering commitment.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14 (ESV)

Good night 💤 pray your weekend was fabulous as mines in the presence of God.

Let God be the architect of your marriage, as He is the ultimate designer of all things, including the sacred union of husband and wife. When you entrust your marriage to God, He lays a firm foundation that can weather any storm and brings forth a love that reflects His own.

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. (Psalm 127:1)
This reminds us that the success of our marriage depends on God’s involvement. Without Him, even our best efforts can fall short.

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:12)
This verse illustrates the strength that comes when both partners unite under God’s guidance. He becomes the third strand that holds the marriage together, making it strong and enduring.

By letting God take the lead, your marriage becomes a reflection of His grace, love, and purpose.

Prayer is powerful. The impact of prayer strengthen relationships and helps to create a peaceful, God centered home.

Praying blessings over your spouse and home is more than just a routine; it’s an act of faith and love that invites God’s presence into your most intimate spaces. Speak life, protection, and favor over your spouse, asking God to guide their steps and strengthen them in every way. Declare your home as a place of peace, joy, and unity where God’s love abounds.

Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that ‘the tongue has the power of life and death.’ Use this power to uplift and bless your family. As you pray today, remember that God honors prayers rooted in love and spoken in faith. Let your words be seeds that bear fruit in your marriage and household. Amen!

I pray this will help you to take action and authority over your family and experience the transforming power of prayer in their daily lives.
