Fifteen-year-old Makayla’s life changed forever on a quiet December night.

A ride with a friend.
A sudden flip.
A canal.
And eleven minutes underwater.

She was gone.
But somehow — miraculously — she came back.

Makayla was revived after 10 long minutes of CPR. She is still here. Still fighting. But the journey ahead is steep, and her injuries are severe. Her brain, her body, her spirit — all need healing.
