Mission Monday!

This week we want to highlight Seniors on a Mission.

For more than 20 years, Seniors on a Mission has been creating opportunities for senior adults to make a meaningful difference in the community. What began as a small group of seniors gathering has grown into a ministry connecting seniors with nonprofits and ministries across Jacksonville.

Last month, Seniors on a Mission volunteers helped us stuff our Gala invitations! Thank you, Seniors on a Mission, for sharing your time, talents, and hearts with our community!

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

We remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We remember the first responders and ordinary people who ran toward danger and showed extraordinary courage that day. We remember the grief, the bravery, and the way our nation came together in the days that followed.

And as believers, we remember something more. This world has never promised us perfect safety, but our hope has never rested there. Jesus said, “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Today, we pause, we pray, and we remember. Never forget.
