Hunter Endsley Memorial Foundation is proud to award a classroom grant to Cheli Vasquez, art teacher at Jacksonville High School.

Through this grant, we were able to provide more than $600 in classroom art supplies to help equip her students with the tools they need to explore, create, and grow. From drawing and painting materials to specialty paper, classroom organization supplies, and other creative resources, these materials will support hands-on learning throughout the school year.

We believe – as Hunter did – that every student deserves the opportunity to express themselves through art, and we’re honored to support the educators who make that possible every day.

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission. Because of your generosity, we’re able to continue investing in local classrooms, local teachers, and the students they inspire.

180+ students served today — WOW, what an incredible day!

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Hunter Endsley Memorial Foundation provided supplemental art supplies to more than 180 local students, helping them start the school year with the tools they need to create and learn. We were also able to provide extra art supplies to several JISD art teachers for their classrooms.

A heartfelt thank you to Adam Phifer, Cheli Vasquez, and the Jacksonville Public Library for helping make today’s giveaway possible.

And to everyone who donated, volunteered, shared, or cheered us on — thank you for helping us continue Hunter’s legacy.

Our School Supply Giveaway is underway at the Jacksonville Public Library, and it’s been a wonderful morning serving local families.

We’re continuing to distribute reserved school supplies, and we also have a limited number of extra art supplies available for JISD students who were not able to register, while supplies last. These additional supplies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

One of the families we had the privilege of serving this morning asked if they could take a photo with us to help spread the word. ❤️

Over the past few days, we've received several messages from individuals asking if there's a way to contribute specifically to our School Supply Giveaway.

The answer is yes.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Hunter Endsley Memorial Foundation has already committed more than $1,300 toward purchasing school supplies for Jacksonville students this summer. Those donations have allowed us to provide hundreds of much-needed art and classroom supplies for local families as they prepare for the new school year.

As we prepare for Saturday's distribution, we'll also be evaluating our remaining resources and our ability to obtain additional supplies to determine whether we're able to offer another round before school begins. While we can't make any promises today, it's something we're hopeful to explore.

To ensure we're able to fulfill the reservations already received and prepare for Saturday's distribution, we've made the decision to close reservations earlier than originally planned.

If you've already submitted a reservation, you're on our list. We'll be working over the next few days to organize supplies and prepare everything for pickup.

We also want to clarify that this giveaway is intended to supplement school supplies — not provide a student's entire school supply list. Our focus has been on art and classroom essentials that are commonly requested across grade levels. As you prepare for the school year, we encourage you to compare your reserved supplies with your student's school supply list, as additional items may still be needed.

After Saturday's distribution, HEMF will evaluate our remaining resources, our ability to obtain additional supplies, and the community's needs to determine whether we're able to offer another school supply distribution before the start of the school year. While we can't make any promises today, it's certainly something we'll be exploring.

🎨 School Supply Giveaway for Jacksonville Students!

The Hunter Endsley Memorial Foundation is excited to host a free school supply giveaway to help Jacksonville students start the new school year prepared and ready to learn.

Whether your children attend Jacksonville ISD or are homeschooled in the Jacksonville area, we'd love to help.

We'll have a variety of school art supplies available, including:

Reserve Your Supplies

To help us prepare, families can reserve supplies in advance using our Google Form: https://forms.gle/Trsrt4sfvrxPvmwy7

Reserving supplies helps us estimate demand and gives us the opportunity to purchase additional supplies before the event if needed.

To help these donations reach as many students as possible, we simply ask that families reserve only the supplies their students need based on their school supply lists.

Reserved supplies will be held until 12:00 PM on the day of the event. If supplies remain, they'll be available to walk-up families on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

If you plan to arrive later in the morning, feel free to text 903-284-3860 on Saturday to check current supply availability before making the trip.

Impact in Action

One of the goals we established when creating the Hunter Endsley Memorial Foundation was to support young artists not only through scholarships, but also by helping equip classrooms where creativity begins.

We're excited to share our first Classroom Support Initiative.

This summer, the Foundation provided more than $200 in classroom art supplies to help first-year Jacksonville ISD teacher Summer Branton prepare for her very first classroom.

Starting a teaching career is exciting — but it can also be expensive. We were honored to help lighten that burden while investing in the creativity of the students she'll inspire this year.

This is just the beginning.

As the Foundation continues to grow, we'll be launching formal classroom grant opportunities so educators throughout Jacksonville ISD can apply for future support.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, attended our art show, purchased artwork, or supported our mission. Because of you, moments like this are possible.

The website serves as a central place to learn about our mission, explore Hunter's artwork and legacy, shop available artwork and commemorative items, review our Financial Transparency & Impact Report, and stay connected as we continue developing scholarship and classroom grant opportunities to support young artists in our community.
