Nectar Environmental Outreach

Nectar Environmental Outreach Our mission is “to provide the community with innovative learning opportunities through NECTAR"

NECTAR believes in the scientifically supported research that connects time spent outdoors with improved physical and mental health, and cognitive performance. NECTAR provides opportunities for families to connect with nature through their suit STREAM programs that demystify science, technology, reading literacy, engineering, arts, and math (STREAM). NECTAR believes that all families should have a

ccess to quality environmental education. In order to meet this challenge, NECTAR facilitates creative, outdoor-based, and challenging STREAM educational programs in a variety of informal and formal settings. These include (but are not limited to) classroom visits, guided nature hikes, summer camps, field research activities, animal ambassador programs, workshops, and classes. By inspiring and mentoring your learners, NECTAR is helping to create the next generation of thinkers and problem solvers.

Over the past 2 years, NECTAR has had the pleasure of serving over 5000 people in the Jacksonville and surrounding communities and for that, we cannot thank you all enough for your support! We've been working alongside Zing Zumm for 1.5 years offering STEAM programming through the Go Wild Science Club and MPower Engineering Clubs 3 days a week. Through decisive decision-making making between our two boards, Nectar has decided to merge with Zing Zumm, Children's Museum of Jacksonville , effective January 1, 2023. You'll still be able to enjoy all your favorite Nectar programs at the museum, just with different faces. We hope you all will continue to explore the environment and ask big questions.
