Some lucky Sweetwater Elementary students wrapped up the school year with big smiles and even bigger sea turtle curiosity. Their teacher, Mrs. Szabo, has a wonderful tradition of treating her students to a fun sea turtle lesson on the very last day of school, and this year her class dove right into our activity booklets that we sent all the way to Port Orange.

We’re always happy to send these little learning adventures her way. Seeing young students connect with turtles, beaches, and conservation is the best kind of send‑off into summer.

It’s FriYAY and we’re celebrating a little win. We’re two nests ahead of last year’s pace, and the season is just getting started. Remember to keep the beach and to protect our nesting mamas.

We received a wonderful thank‑you from the City of Jacksonville Beach-Government after sharing sea turtle information with their Citizen Information Academy. We love any chance to help our community learn more about our amazing sea turtles.
