Music Performance Trust Fund (MPTF) has provided a $15,000 grant to support this year's National Folk Festival. MPTF grants are administered through the local AFM - American Federation of Musicians union, thus through our own AFM Local 579 Jackson Federation of Musicians. Learn more at musicpf.org

The Festival will be in Jackson Nov 7-9, the first of a three-year residency. Attend this amazing FREE event and Volunteer.

"Grants & Funding Highlight! Apply for South Arts’ Artist Creative Practice Grant by April 30, 2026 at the latest (rolling deadline). Applications will be reviewed for funding decisions on a 2-month cycle.

South Arts offers Artist Creative Practice Grants to ensure that artists from our region can take advantage of a variety of career enhancing opportunities. The grant supports a variety of professional development opportunities including milestone activities in an artist’s career that will likely lead to substantial career growth.

Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded to eligible applicants in the South Arts region (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee).

Dear Musical Family,

We welcome you join us on Saturday morning for Clean JXN Gateway Beatification Day this Saturday, October 18th! Your willingness to roll up your sleeves and help make a positive impact on our city is greatly appreciated.

Please find the key details for meetups below. We've assigned a site lead for each location to guide the activities and ensure everything runs smoothly. Please feel free to bring additional volunteers if possible.

Time: 8:30-12:00 pm
What to bring: Safety vests, trash bags, and gloves will be provided. If you have additional equipment that you are willing to bring, such as w**d trimmers or edgers, please respond to this message or contact your site lead (information below).
