In two more days, Jackson County Hands United will be having a fundraiser at Applebee's, located in the Westwood Mall. The event goes on June 1 and June 2 between 4pm and 9pm. Other business owners, such as Preet, will be there. She offers free mental health services for those struggling. No insurance is required. Larry Artis from Katch a Kid will be there as well, along with some of the wrestlers who will be doing the training. We will also be collaborating with Thomas Burke from Save Our Youth.

If your child is being bullied, this is a perfect opportunity to learn how to defend themselves. All proceeds will help with uniforms, other equipment for our wrestling camp and an experience worth remembering. The Camp is for children between the ages of 10 and 18. They will go through some collegiate and some professional training. We are currently in open enrollment. For every meal that is purchased, Jackson County Hands United receives 20% of the total bill. For more information, please message me, Chance Neilson or Ricky Pickrell.

Jackson County Hands United is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that offers free bus tickets, reduced price tree service based on income and situation with discounts for seniors and veterans with proof of service ( DD-214 a.ka. military release forms), and recycling solutions. Check us out on Facebook. Many of you have expressed concern about crime and other issues in town. Well, we are here to lend a helping hand.

Mission: Jackson County Hands United is a nonprofit organization for many who are left with limited help and resources. We offer cleaner and safer solutions to those who are struggling in the Greater Lansing- Jackson County, MI areas.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to give you a few updates:
1. The next yardsaleapalooza event we will be attending is at the Commonwealth Building Parking Lot on Sunday, July 12 between 10am and 3 pm

2. We are still doing a shoe drive. Our goal to reach is 2500 pairs of shoes. Once we reach our goal, the shoes will be transported across seas to developing countries. Our donations will earn us $1000 toward our cause. The shoe drive will be ongoing until we reach our goal. All shoes must be new or gently used.

3. Since demand is increasing on our services we are looking for additional volunteers to help. Some of the positions we are seeking help in are, General Manager, Public Relations, Director of Communications, Director of Operations, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Manager, Administrative Assistant, HR Director, Shift Supervisors, Event Planners, Fundraising Coordinators, Advertising and Marketing Director. These are all volunteer positions. Any help is greatly appreciated. This is not a pyramid scheme or some sort of scam. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

We will be closing for the winter. We will be back up and running again in the Spring. By the time we reopen there should be a new and improved business model. Hope everyone enjoys their holiday break!

Jay's Tree Service is back up and running. Because of the colder weather we will be moving to emergency jobs. Also, the shoe drive is still going on. If you are interested in donating, contact Michele Nelson.
