Recently a ministry couple took a retreat in Arizona, which included a first time visit to the Grand Canyon! In the midst of ministry and family changes, this couple was able to take some time to rest spiritually in Christ and prepare for what life has in store. They had this to say about their retreat:

“Spiritually, we were awed and humbled. We had never experienced the desert or seen the Grand Canyon. We are returning to ministry work with a more expansive appreciation for the beauty of creation and the peace we experience when we disconnect with the distractions and worries of the world and reconnect with God in prayer.”
“In anticipation of these big transitions, we were able to use this time away to remember (and be reminded by God) that the most important thing in all of this is always love. Though the transitions haven’t happened yet, we walked away from our retreat feeling more confident, connected, and prepared for whatever happens next. ”

God is great, and the world He created reflects His glory! “Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!” -Psalm 33:8

A pastor and wife took a retreat last month at EdenRidge in TN. EdenRidge has some incredible views that we wanted to share with you! They also shared a little about their retreat experience:

“Thank you so much for allowing us to go on this retreat. It means so much. The home was beautiful with every comfort one could want. Our peaceful time away was revitalizing and strengthened us spiritually!”

There is something wonderful about enjoying the natural beauty of the world God created. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” -Psalm 19:1
Thank you for helping us make these retreats possible!

We had the opportunity to present Quiet Place Ministries at Bennett Community Church in Michigan a few weeks ago. We didn’t get many pictures but are grateful for the chance to share what God is doing in the lives of ministry workers through our retreats. We also shared about the struggles pastors and missionaries often face in their ministry, and how we hope to provide the spiritual rest in Christ that so many need so desperately. Please pray that we would have more opportunities to share the ministry in the future! If you are interested in having us present at your church, please reach out to us through a Facebook message or our email: [email protected]

When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. -John 19:30

On Good Friday, we remember Jesus’ death on the cross. The day Jesus died sounds like the exact opposite of a “good” day. Jesus was betrayed, mocked, whipped, beaten, and nailed to a cross to die a slow, excruciating death. But Good Friday isn’t named after a fun day. Good Friday reminds us of the day Jesus took our place on that cross. Our sin separates us from God, and only a perfect sacrifice could make things right. Jesus willingly became that sacrifice. In a few days, we will celebrate Easter, the day that Jesus came back to life and defeated the power of sin and death. But that glorious resurrection from the dead didn’t happen without an awful day: a day that was very good for us.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8

We are happy to announce that Bradley Hendrick has accepted the position of Executive Director of Quiet Place Ministries! Bradley has been working with QPM for several years, and the position of Executive Director will allow for increased involvement in the ministry long term. The role will include assuming some of the administrative responsibilities of the QPM President Brian Hendrick, and learning each aspect of the ministry. The position was discussed and officially offered at our recent Annual Board Meeting. It was a blessing to gather for the meeting, including dinner together after! Please pray that God will bless the future of Quiet Place Ministries.

Even South Carolina was not exempt from the cold snap a month ago! A recent retreat took place at the end of January. Here is some of the feedback we received:

"It was a worshipful experience to simply stand on the beach and marvel at God's creation. Even though we were at the beach during the cool months (and even got a snowstorm), the memories were great, the rest was fantastic, and I spent more time reading and in the Word than I have had the flexibility to do in a long time. We are unable to express the extent of our gratitude to Quiet Place Ministries and their donors. This was such an impactful and restful retreat for our family to prepare for the next leg of our ministry journey. "

Thank you for supporting Quiet Place and making retreats like this happen!

“Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.” Psalm 96:3

Did you know that almost 20% of our income in 2025 came through hours volunteered at a thrift store? Resale Depot is a local store here in Jackson, Michigan. They are partnered with several local nonprofit organizations including Quiet Place Ministries. The profits from the store are divided among the sponsored partners based on their cumulative volunteer hours. Each ministry partner typically receives $14-$20 for every volunteer hour, so a handful of hours a month can really add up! We are praying for more volunteers to join us. If you are interested in volunteering with Resale Depot please reach out to us at [email protected] and we would be happy to talk!

Most of our volunteers representing Quiet Place generally work on the third Monday of each month, but you can volunteer on behalf of QPM any time during store hours and it will still benefit us. If you are local but aren’t sure you can volunteer, you can still indirectly benefit us by donating gently used items or simply by shopping at the store! Please email or message us if you have any questions!

Thank you Resale Depot for partnering with us!

A couple retreats sponsored by Quiet Place have already taken place this year! A pastor who took a retreat in Nevada last month had this to say:

“This retreat helped me get closer with God. He reminded me that ministry was something he has for me in the future and that even in the desert seasons He is present. Even those seasons can be beautiful. I feel equipped to return to whatever God has for me because of this.”

We always hope to see retreats bring about refreshment for the coming ministry work. Praise the Lord for this time of rest! Only Christ can truly “satisfy the weary soul” (Jeremiah 31:25).

It was uplifting to worship and fellowship with other believers at the CareGivers Forum in October, held at the Green Lake Conference Center in Wisconsin. CareGivers is designed to provide resources and create a support network for those who “minister to ministers”. Through CareGivers, we have learned about many retreat ministries were QPM can send our guests. We have even been working with some of them for over twenty years! Theresa and Brad attended helpful workshops including “Retreat 101”, “Tools to Help Ministers Thrive”, and “Marketing With Technology”. We are hopeful that we can use what we learned to continuously improve our ministry...especially online! Part of our development includes our brand new logo. We are grateful for Oliver Dossmann from EdenRidge who did an excellent job designing the logo for us!
