Farm Sanctuary which was made possible by the funds that were donated by an extremely generous and committed supporter in January 2015. The sanctuary is located in Ocean County, NJ. For the safety of the cats/kittens the address is not shared on social media. Once a volunteer has applied & interviewed they will be offered an opportunity to visit/tour facilities and explore volunteer opportunities.
The sanctuary is home to feral, semi-feral, behavioral, medical and otherwise unadoptable cats/kittens. These cats/kittens would have surely met a devastating fate without our intervention and care. At our sanctuary, the cats/kittens receive daily food/water by dedicated volunteers. Some of the more sociable cats/kittens, and the medically needy cats/kittens, are housed in our heated/air conditioned enclosure that is completely surrounded by "cat fencing" that allows the cats/kittens the freedom to come and go at will, while having the safety of a contained area. Within this area they are under the care of our dedicated volunteers and can be assessed should medical issues arise and treatment needed. Also housed on the sanctuary are "free roaming" cats that for one reason or another needed to be relocated from their original location, usually either loss of primary care giver or their safety was in eminent danger. All our cats are vaccinated, spay or neutered and microchipped. The ground are treated for fleas and ticks. As you can imagine the daily operations, maintenance and care of cats/kittens of the sanctuary is extremely costly. The calls and pleas for help are constant. We are limited to the lives we can help based on the funds available, our volunteer staff and adequate facilities/housing for the cats/kittens of the sanctuary. It is only through community support and donations that we are and will continue to be to able to support the feral, semi-feral and otherwise unadoptable cats/kittens of Ocean & Monmouth Counties! Our sister page is dedicated to the work of our rescue and our "foster based" portion of the organization. This is portion of the rescue is where our vision originated. This is where you can find our adoptable cats & kittens. We are a volunteer cat rescue group, some of whom work at a Spay and Neuter Clinic. We started by helping all of the unwanted cats that are left at our door year round. As a group, we save the babies that are left to die, the countless mothers that have had numerous litters and those that are losing or have lost their home. To help humanely lower the feline population, we spay and neuter feral cats and then find homes for the friendly adults and the offspring that have been born. We help the public to find resources to alter their own pets as well as the stray/feral cats in their care. To also help control feline populations in our communities, we provide resources regarding TNR Programs for interested people. Our rescue works extremely hard to find the best homes for cats of all shapes, sizes, colors and ages. While these cats wait, they are cared for in safe, loving, and nurturing foster homes.
