Cornell Bridges to Community

Cornell Bridges to Community Cornell Bridges to Community is a chapter of an international program that is focused on community development and empowerment.

This is a page for past, current, and future members (plus anyone else) to get more information! We organize a group of Cornell students to travel to Nicaragua for a service-learning trip over Spring Break. A supplementary seminar course (DSOC 4500) ensures that the experience is more informed and academically oriented. Faculty members serve as guest speakers in describing the situation in Nicarag

ua and its relevance to our mission of becoming global citizens. We provide Cornell students the opportunity to learn about Nicaragua and issues in development while forming friendships through a project that connects real faces and places to the meaning of community growth. The Cornell chapter has been around for almost 10 years, while the international Bridges organization is embarking on its third decade.
