Our Program Assistant, Mrs. Cynthia White Shabazz, attended the Irvington 'Show Me the Money' business seminar representing Odo as a Chamber of Commerce organizational member. One of our biggest supporters and sponsor, Chef Roscoe of RMT Buffet and Catering provided a lovely spread.

Our Founder and Executive Director, Ms. Nadine Etienne, was recognized by the city of Linden, New Jersey and New Jersey Haiti Partners of the Americas for community service. The acknowledgement during Haitian Heritage Month was based on work with NJ Haiti Partners and Odo Achievement Center.

Ms. Etienne would like to thank all past and current board members, youth, and volunteers who are behind the scenes making magic happen for Odo Achievement Center. This award is also for you!

Additional thanks to donors, business sponsors, and community partners, who have contributed their time, energy, or funds to Odo’s events and programs. Running an organization is never a one person task. It is led by community members with a passion to help and we have been fortunate to have these types of individuals support us throughout the years.

The Linden Haitian Flag Day event was filled with many moments of praise under the theme, 'Blessings on My Block' starting off with Mayor Derek Armstead's opening address, community service award acknowledgements and performances from the local high school students.

Crown Confidence is a culturally affirming, interactive workshop designed to teach high school students (young men are welcome as well) the fundamentals of healthy hair care while helping them celebrate the beauty and versatility of their natural hair.
