Good evening,
We are excited to invite you to a special evening with the NAACP Irving Branch on Monday, August 24!
Meet Irving ISD’s New Superintendent.
Before our branch meeting, we will host a special meet and greet with Dr. Dorian Galindo, who officially began serving as Irving ISD Superintendent of Schools on July 1, 2026.
Dr. Galindo brings more than 16 years of experience in public education, research, strategic planning, organizational leadership, and systems transformation. Before becoming Superintendent, she served as Irving ISD’s Chief of Staff and held several district leadership positions focused on performance outcomes, planning, evaluation, and research.
A first-generation college graduate and the daughter of Mexican-American immigrants, Dr. Galindo is committed to community-centered leadership and building stronger systems that help students, families, educators, and communities thrive. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Demography from the University of Texas at San Antonio, along with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sociology from Texas State University.
This is a wonderful opportunity to welcome Dr. Galindo, learn more about her vision for Irving ISD, and participate in a meaningful community conversation.
