Extra Yard for Teachers Elevating the teaching profession by inspiring and empowering quality teachers. Teachers are often overlooked and underappreciated. We want to change that.

The College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation is the 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving as the community engagement arm of the College Football Playoff and works in partnership with institutions of higher education, sports organizations, corporations and non-profits to support educators and improve student outcomes. The purpose of the CFP Foundation lies in supporting PK-12 education by elevating the teaching profession. The CFP Foundation inspires and empowers educators by focusing its work in four areas: recognition, resources, recruitment and retention, and professional development. It’s time we go the extra yard for those who have gone the extra yard for us!

For 12 years, Mrs. Mary Smith has been a shining star at Breitling Elementary in Grand Bay, AL!

As a 5th-grade teacher, Mary goes above and beyond every single day—whether she's providing snacks for students, covering field trip tickets so no child is left out, or bringing endless patience, heart, and soul to her classroom. Her impact on students, especially those with special needs, leaves a lasting mark on families across the community. You can see the love every afternoon as kids rush to give her a hug goodbye in the car line! 💚

Thank you, Mrs. Smith, for your compassion, dedication, and for being such a wonderful example of what a teacher should be! 👏📚✨

Sometimes the teachers who inspired you never forgot you, either. 🥹 Heartwarming to know that the inspiration went both ways all along. ✨

Thanks to the ACC Network for sharing these special stories during 🍏 🏈
