Irvine Theater Company

Irvine Theater Company Revisioning classical theater using technology: Producing new works using a brain based approach. A large portion of programming will be family focused.

The Irvine Theater Company provides a unique and immersive audience experience. We use technology to revision classical theatre and produce new works with our proven brain-based approach to story development. What makes us unique:
ITC enhances the excitement of live performance with spectacular technology that immerses the audience in the world of the story. Every production incorporates supplemental digital components that allow a viewer’s experience of the story to live on long after the final curtain. Immersive Productions:
This one-of-a-kind theatrical canvas facilitates innovative story-telling, including Transmedia Storytelling. We seek to attract high profile creative partners from the entertainment industry. We look to partner with master storytellers and creative innovators such as Netflix, Disney, Blizzard Entertainment, Pixar, and others.

People are shocked when I mention that Irvine hasn't had a producing theater company for 30 years. Irvine (population 330,000) remains the largest city in California without any cultural infrastructure for dramatic artists.

Why?

This article explains the 'void.'

Will our future men and women marry AI? This is the title of an article by Rafael Perez. It is also the subject of a play, entitled BETA FOR YOU

This short play was performed at Irvine Theater Company's 'Brain-based Short Play Festival. Directed by Annie Young and performed by Vinita Singla, Jonathon Hoch, and Kelly Bohart, this piece explored one man's choice to find connection with artificial intelligence. Thanks to the powerful performances, audiences were surprised to learn that this piece was actually written by Artifical Intelligence.

According to this article in the OC Register, perhaps art is once again reflecting real life?
