This weekend, our Helping Hands home repair program will co-host a demonstration on manufactured home skirting replacement and energy-efficiency improvements.

Date: October 17th
Event Time: 9AM-1PM
Location: Sunrise Village, 2100 S. Scott Blvd, Iowa City, IA 42240

*The specific location inside Sunrise Village will be shared with those who fill out the registration/RSVP form.

This event will include an in-person demonstration on mobile-home skirting replacement and information on home energy efficiency resources. The home repair session is intended to be recorded and shared online for manufactured home residents to return to as an educational tool in their homeowner toolkit. On October 17th, Johnson County Residents United (JCRU), Iowa Manufactured Home Residents' Network (IMHRN), and the Johnson County Affordable Housing Coalition (JCAHC) will partner with Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Helping Hands program to hold an educational home repair demonstration for manufactured home residents in Johnson County!

Every year, the Iowa Women's Basketball team trades in their basketball shoes for some hammers and hard hats and joins us at our Women Build construction sites! This year, the weather had other plans, so they joined us at our Iowa City ReStore! We are so glad they were able to join us in helping to rearrange the store, accept donations, sort cans, and more! Good luck this season! 🩵 🏠
