University of Iowa Students for Human Rights (UISHR) Meetings: Sundays, 8:00P - 9:00P. Arts Room, IMU (257) JOIN:

UISHR IS:
The University of Iowa Students for Human Rights is a campus organization founded in October, 2012 to further the human rights education and leadership of University of Iowa students in Iowa City and surrounding communities. We are an events-based team that brings together students, faculty, staff, organizations and community members to uphold the rights and integrity of every individual

under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights through engaging in direct advocacy and organizing awareness and philanthropy events. PAST EVENTS INCLUDE:
Past events include a student movement to increase funding towards human rights programs, a fundraiser for LGBTQ rights (attempting to break a world record), sending students to an environmental rally in Washington DC, Hosting lectures on the issue in Syria, Documentaries about past human rights activists, about the involvement of physicians and psychologists in enhanced interrogation techniques, and much more. Regardless of majors or experience, we accept both students and community members.

Hello Everybody! Today is the Kavanaugh hearing so we decided to share a article talking a about Kavanaugh. The second article is about they Rohingya crisis which we touched upon last semester, the UN decided to create a international council to help prepare case trials for future criminal proceedings.
