Hi all,

We have an upcoming need for volunteers, starting September, to help run concession stands for 7 football home games at Kinnick Stadium. Responsibilities would include: cash handling, customer service, food prep, and cleanup.

We would really appreciate it if you can sign up to volunteer for a single game or multiple games.

As with all our events, the money we earn from working at the stands goes towards development projects in India. Please respond to this message or inbox us if you are interested.

Do share this message widely!

Thanks,
The AID Iowa Team

AID started in University of Maryland, College Park, with an email sent on the Independence day of 1991, with a feeling of patriotism and the urge to make a difference. Every year on Independence day we remember the freedom struggle, its leaders, songs, and those who sacrificed their lives.

This year on Independence Day, we focus on a freedom fighter, leader and social reformer, who was born into a family treated as untouchable, fought for freedom for all – especially those of the oppressed castes – and who drafted the constitution of free India. His perspective can give us a deeper idea of freedom. We also present some of the work of Dalit groups, movements and issues that AID is in solidarity with.

We hope you find the site meaningful, make a difference with your donation and have a Happy Independence Day!

Please share makeadifference.aidindia.org with your friends, volunteers, donors and the general public.
