The Coachella Valley Chapter of the National Latino Peace Officers Association held their first meeting in the Imperial Valley (70 miles south of Indio). Imperial County Sheriff Fred Miramontes and CHP Lt. Ernesto Ruedas (Imperial, CA), both have been NLPOA members for years, were joined by Imperial County District Attorney George Marquez. Additionally eleven others attended from the Imperial County. We discovered great interest in forming an NLPOA chapter there. Free gifts and other raffled gifts made the evening exciting. If YOU are interested in joining, please let us know. We are a nonprofit open to everyone.
