We are having an informative meeting Wednesday April 19th at 6:30 PM at the Community Building in Indianola. We are going to go what it is to be in the Sons of the American Legion. And discuss how we would like to set our squadron up. We will be signing people up and getting our squadron paperwork ready to file with state. Everyone is welcome to attend and discuss what we would like to do with our squadron. Remember, we can use Everyone's support. And this is for everyone in our area, this Son's squadron will help support all the local Legion Post and all area vets. We are looking at dues being around $30 a year for Sons membership, and if you would like to be a duel member (if you are currently a Legion member and would like to also be a Sons member as well) will be at $20. Also, to have membership in the Sons you don't have to live in the area. That type of support is needed as well.

We are looking for our Squadron to be very active in our communities, we would like to have the younger kids involved too. We are wanting do do projects geared to them as well. We are hoping to assist and honor our vets both past and present while being involved in our community, and we want it to be fun as well. Please help me pass the word. If you have any questions please feel free to call one of us.
Thanks all,
Jon Harris

On average 20 veterans die by su***de each day in the U.S. please people check on our vets. A call or even a text can make a difference. Mike Simmons with the area veterans office dropped off some information on this Mobil Vet center coming to McCook April 26th. Please help me share this so we can get this out. Help us help our area vets!

Greetings all! The American Legion Post 344 Indianola NE has voted to except a squadron of Sons of the American Legion. This is for male descendants of all ages that parent or grandparent that served in the U.S. military. This squadron will be assisting the local Legion Posts in serving veterans and honoring the men and women that served our great country. This is for all ages and would love to have the younger generations involved. We will be conducting community services, educating youth, and honoring both past and present United States soldiers. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Thank you all,
Jon Harris
