1,246 snacks. 11 school days. And the need continues.

We’re excited to announce our next Charge Up! Snack Drive partnership with C3 Sports!

We’ll be at C3 Sports soccer games tomorrow to share more about the NACS Education Foundation and kick off this partnership. Throughout the soccer season, families can support Charge Up! in two ways:

Donate individually packaged snacks by dropping them off in The Hub at C3 Sports anytime this soccer season.

Donate online to the Charge Up! Snack Drive and select C3 Sports with your donation.

Charge Up! launched this year as a pilot program at Huntertown and Arcola Elementary Schools, two of our highest-need schools. Just 11 days into the school year, students have accessed 1,246 servings of snacks through the program.

That's 1,246 times a student had something to eat so they could stay fueled, focused, and ready to learn.

Charge Up! is part of our READY commitment—helping ensure students have what they need to be ready to learn when they walk into our schools.

And we know that the need extends beyond our two pilot schools.

With consistent community and financial support, our goal is to expand Charge Up! to additional NACS schools—providing teachers and staff with a reliable resource so they don't have to personally shoulder the cost of making sure hunger doesn't become a barrier to learning.

When you're building something new, the right support makes all the difference.

Thanks to a capacity-building grant from the Indiana Association of Public Education Foundations (INAPEF), we're able to invest in the tools we need to grow the NACS Education Foundation—while keeping donor dollars focused on our students and educators.

Through this grant, we were able to purchase important event display materials—including a branded tablecloth and pop-up banners—that help us professionally represent the Foundation as we attend community events, build awareness, and share our mission. Special shout out to Katie Schwartz for designing our amazing banners!

These may seem like simple items, but grants like this allow us to invest in the tools needed to build a strong, sustainable organization while keeping your donation dollars focused directly on teacher grants, Charge Up! snack program, and other community building initiatives for NACS students, educators, and families.

As a brand-new education foundation, we're also incredibly grateful for INAPEF's ongoing guidance, resources, and expertise. From best practices to the many “How do we do this?” questions that come with building a new foundation, their support has been invaluable.

Thank you, INAPEF, for investing in our Foundation so we can continue investing in NACS!

614 snacks. 6 school days. And we're just getting started!

Our Charge Up! Snack Program is already making an impact at Huntertown and Arcola Elementary Schools. In the first six days of school, students accessed a snack 614 times when they didn't have one available from home.

That's 614 opportunities for a student to stay fueled, focused, and ready to learn.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who donated snacks, supported the launch, and helped us get Charge Up! into classrooms this year.

As we learn more about the need, we're also working to build sustainable partnerships that will help us keep bins stocked and eventually bring Charge Up! to even more NACS schools.

Together, we're helping make sure a missing snack doesn't get in the way of learning.

Have you signed up for “The Charge” 5k walk/run or the family fun?

Great way to get active and support Boomerang Backpacks program that provides weekend meals to NACS students.

Partnering with the Carroll High School Alumni Association for the inaugural “The Charge: Against Hunger,” the event includes a 5K and a family fun run on Carroll’s campus to raise funds for Boomerang Backpacks food assistance.

Charge Up! Update

🎉The totals are in and we are so thankful! 🎉

The Carroll High School Instrumental Music Programs collected a total of 5,896 servings of snacks! More than enough to fill our snack bins to start the school year strong!

📌We also want to recognize an incredibly meaningful gift from one of our anonymous donors, who generously provided all 40 teacher classroom snack bins in honor of Dr. Gloria Shamanoff and Mrs. Kathleen Perfect.

This thoughtful tribute recognizes the lasting impact these two leaders have had on Northwest Allen County Schools and the countless lives they’ve influenced through their dedication to students, staff, and our community.

We are so grateful for those who choose to invest their time, talents, and resources into NACS. Together, you’re helping ensure our students have what they need to be ready to learn.

What has the NACS Education Foundation been up to today? 👀

A whole lot of behind-the-scenes work to get ready for an incredible school year!

🥨 Collected and delivered another 1,500 snacks from the Carroll High School Instrumental Music Programs snack drive. (Final totals coming soon… and you’re going to be amazed!)

📦 Prepped our Charge Up! snack bins because students arrive in just 6 days! We’re making sure classrooms have snacks ready for students who need them from day one.

✨ Showed off our brand-new event banners and tablecloth. We are absolutely swooning over how they turned out!

🎉 Started planning some exciting announcements for 3.11.27… Nope, we’re still not spilling the beans. 😏 But trust us—you’ll want to save the date.
