The first step in making a HOPE Kit isn't packing it. It's having something to put inside.

That's where Blusource comes in. They provide the supplies that go into our kits. The kind of things a kid reaches for before they reach a classroom.

Those supplies went into kits we delivered to Grassroot Projects, who got them to the families they serve.

Two missions moved forward because one supplier showed up.

Some kids are smiling on the outside while carrying a whole world on the inside.

A hard home life.

A lot of stress.

Questions they don’t know how to ask.

At Our Home for Hope, we want those kids to know they’re not invisible.

Some kids are carrying way more than a backpack.

They’re carrying questions about where they’ll sleep next week, what’s happening at home, or why the people they love are so stressed. And most of the time, they carry all of that quietly, so the adults around them never really see it.

You can’t always tell by looking.
On the outside, it’s just a kid in a classroom, on a bus, at the park.
On the inside, it’s a lot for young shoulders to hold.

That’s where Our Home for Hope chooses to stand.

Through local partners, we show up for children in hard seasons with practical support, encouragement, and small reminders that their story is bigger than what they’re going through right now.

Because no child should feel alone in what they’re carrying.

Some kids are walking through really hard seasons right now, and the basics most of us don’t think twice about that’s actually theirs are missing.

That’s why Our Home for Hope exists. We bring HOPE for children and families in crisis so that, even in the middle of chaos, they have a few small things that say, “You matter. You’re seen.”

This month, we’re getting ready to prepare and deliver the next round of kits to our partner organizations, and the need is already bigger than what we have on hand.

If we could slip a note into every HOPE Kit, it would probably say something like this:

You are not invisible.

You are not a burden.

You deserve clean clothes, warm hands, and something fun that’s just for you.

Every kit we put together is our way of saying that out loud for a child who might not hear it anywhere else. A small bar of soap. A soft towel. A beanie and gloves that actually fit. Crayons and a coloring book for a quiet moment that feels like being a kid again.

We didn’t expect 92 little bags to feel this heavy.

This afternoon our car was packed with crayons and coloring books, soap and hand towels, combs, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste, cozy beanies, and gloves 92 care kits on their way to Grassroot Projects’ storage, where they’ll be turned into customized packages for immigrant and refugee families starting over in States.

Kids are arriving in new cities with almost nothing: cold mornings with no hat or gloves, first days of school without even a coloring book of their own, parents stretching every dollar just to cover basic hygiene. It’s easy to see the headlines and think, “I wish I could do something small that actually reaches a real child.”

Today, those “small” things looked like 92 bags, each one a quiet message that says, “You matter.” When you support Our Home for Hope, you’re not giving into a void; you’re putting crayons, soap, towels, beanies, and gloves directly into the hands of kids through partners like Grassroot Projects.
