Come on out to Garfield Park for EarthFest, starting tomorrow at 10am, and consider getting their via a stroll or ride along our Southside trails and/or low-stress streets. Always be careful on the roadways--click the event link for more details!

🍃 2. From UIndy or Indiana Bible College: Use State Av, Carson Av, our new SUIT pedestrian-way along Troy Av, and finish with a jaunt on the IndyGo Red Line. 🚌
🍃 3. From Beech Grove High School - Use the Franciscan Trail west of Emerson Av, then 13th Av, then Southern Av around to Walker Av, and then Bradbury Av.

Tomorrow is our Bike To School “bike bus” through Bean Creek! Students, parents, neighbors—really anyone!—is welcome to join us as we roll past your block on the way to the four schools in this neighborhood. Volunteers will kick off at 7am from 1110 E Southern Av, and arrive at Emma Donnan by 7:30am, so keep an eye out for the bike bus! 🚲

Thanks to Mirror Indy for spotlighting our project on Troy Avenue, working with Indianapolis Department of Public Works to make the street safer for students and Bean Creek/Garfield Park neighbors!

Southside community groups installed a tactical urbanism project on East Troy Avenue.

So proud of all the collaboration this morning on our successful first tactical urbanism installation! With support on site from IMPD, IFD Fire, Indianapolis DPW, Emma Donnan Schools, Bean Creek, Garfield Park, and our City MNA, we hope that this team effort leads to a calmer, safer, and better connected Troy Avenue for the Southside!
Check it out with a stroll or roll along Troy Avenue between Carson Ave and the Shelby Ave IndyGo Red Line station!
