Tuesday’s Who You Are, Beyond the Relationship: Reclaiming Your Peace workshop was AMAZING! 💕

We had another great turnout, powerful conversation, and Ms. Shonna led us through a beautiful healing circle that really brought the evening together.

We are officially halfway through the series, and I’m so excited to see how everyone continues to grow, reflect, and reclaim their peace over these next few weeks. 🌱

We still have a few spots left! If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time.

Reserve your spot and come grow with us! 💕

Today, we enter Week 3 of Who You Are, Beyond the Relationship: Reclaiming Your Peace 💕

Tonight we’re digging a little deeper as we explore generational trauma and the ways it can show up in our relationships...sometimes without us even realizing it.

We’ll take a closer look at the patterns, beliefs, and behaviors we may have learned or inherited, and begin identifying what we want to carry forward and what we’re ready to leave behind.

Healing also means understanding where the pattern started. 🌱

There are still so many misconceptions about su***de and Black communities and silence can make those misconceptions even harder to challenge.

“Black people don’t die by su***de.”

“If someone talks about su***de, they’re just looking for attention.”

“Strong people can handle anything.”

“Talking about su***de will put the idea in someone’s head.”

These beliefs can keep people from recognizing warning signs, reaching out for support, or feeling safe enough to say, “I’m not okay.”

The truth is mental health struggles do not discriminate, and neither does the need for support.

We can honor our strength while also making room for vulnerability. We can check on our people. We can listen without judgment. We can normalize asking for help.

Strength doesn’t mean suffering in silence. Let’s keep having the conversations that can save lives.

Danielle Henderson, a clinical psychologist with Indiana University Health, says the most important step in prevention is overcoming the fear of starting a conversation.
