We're making it easier than ever for aspiring superintendents to participate in IASA.

This year's cohort will be hosted in Jasper, bringing this valuable professional learning opportunity closer to leaders in Southern Indiana. Thanks to the generosity of Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools for the use of their facilities, we've also been able to reduce the registration cost for participants.

IASA is designed for current school leaders who aspire to the superintendency and are ready to expand their leadership knowledge, build their network, and prepare for the next step in their careers.

We are committed to meeting leaders where they are and providing accessible, high-quality opportunities for professional growth.

During a press conference today, Indiana announced it has received approval from the U.S. Department of Education for its "Returning Education to the States" waiver, which provides the state with greater flexibility in administering certain federal education funds.

The waiver is expected to streamline funding processes, reduce administrative requirements for schools, and provide Indiana with additional flexibility in accountability measures and school improvement efforts.

During the announcement, the innovative work underway in Eastern Hancock Schools, Perry Central Community Schools, and Plainfield Community School Corporation was highlighted as an example of how Indiana schools are creating meaningful opportunities for students.

IAPSS officers joined U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, Governor Mike Braun, and Indiana Secretary of Education Dr. Katie Jenner for this important announcement and discussion on the future of education in Indiana.
